Better players was always going to be the difference. The formation, the tactics, the coaching, it’s all first rate, but you add better players to the mix and naturally performances will be better

That's a nonsense .. the formation, tactics, tempo which you backed to the core, has all completely changed.
Or maybe the change in personnel has allowed the tactics and tempo to improve. Formation is fundamentally the sane but the players in the formation make it work better.
They really make us tick. Doyle provides the link from midfield to attack, and Ducksch allows everyone to play off him. And Roberts is just fecking quality, getting better every game he plays.
Hope we seem then all on Saturday
Doyle better than Iwata in that role
Roberts better than Thor / Dowell in his role
Duchs better than everyone else who’s played the 10 role this season.
Have to say, Iwata has done the Laird role really well (albeit inverted) and Doyle has stepped into his role comfortably and competently.
Add in The Ducks vision and these enforced changes (call it squad depth if you like) are paying dividends.
Whether CD would've come up with the plan himself out of some moment of inspiration is largely irrelevant.
The squad recruitment, planning and £1M electricity bill are there to back up the management team.
And, you can easily get a pint, whenever you want, at the back of the Tilton.

Ducksch might be better in the 10 role than anyone else. But he wasn't playing there tonight or on Saturday

Last two games have marked a complete change -- we hurry up our throw-ins, take free kicks quicker, don't give the opposition time to rest and organise,
we also have two clean sheets - largely due to not leaving ourselves over-exposed when our play breaks down, because we play with an inverted full back that fills that midfield gap
both these 4-0 wins we haven't had the majority % of possession as we are more relaxed about taking risks, we don't sit in front of the opponent's defence passing it needlessly from one side to the other waiting for a mistake - hence we are suddenly creating three or four times the amount of scoring opportunities
did we not go three games creating less than 4 shots combined on target in total recently ?
If you can't see a difference in tempo, tactics, formation over the last two games then i really don't know what to say.

i'd ignore him - he's just a troll who's here to hate on Blues fans.
You're right, of course.

I think Iwata playing right back is a happy accident that’s worked out well and that’s allowed Doyle his opportunity, initially alongside Leonard but now the Duck is fit we can play Doyle and Paik for n midfield.
I think that was the plan for the starting XI or at least 10 of f them 11 with the recruitment
