It was mentioned on the match thread that MAYBE we have the obligation to buy him, but it wasn’t known how much for or what it depended on, promotion was mentioned?
I really do hope we can. You can see how he thinks and plays a level above, so refreshing to see.
Fingers crossed the agreements there as there’s no way the Dingles will sell him next year after they’ve come down and Doyle has ripped this division a new one.
Thing is people are saying dog heads wont sell but if they have an unhappy player on there hands they might aswell sell. I have a feeling fosun might just take what they can and run.

Man City still have a 50% sell-on clause on him (as well as a buy back clause) which won't help
Do Wolves have a buy-option for Tommy Doyle?
Molineux officials have negotiated a £5 million option to buy from Manchester City for Tommy Doyle, which can be activated upon the conclusion of his initial 12-month loan agreement.
Are there any other clauses I need to be aware of?
Should Wolves activate their option to buy on Tommy Doyle at the end of the 2023/24 season, then City will attain a 50% sell-on. This means the Premier League champions will be eligible to half of any profit the Molineux club make on the midfielder should he be sold on in future.

I thought it was £10m if we get promoted. There have been some rumours online that we might try to buy him sooner, but could just be paper talk -

I really hope we do buy him and build the team around him. A playmaker who has the skill to hold on to possession the way he does with skillful touches has a positive psychological effect on his teammates and a negative effect on the opposition. Even if the other players are less comfortable when pressed they can just give it to him and the pressure's off. For me, that's a key part of what's changed recently.
It could very well be why we have loaned him.
City do not receive any of the loan fee, but 50% of the sell on.
Most of the cost is probably in the loan fee
Pretty sure we have an obligation to buy in summer. £10m ain’t it
Wolves will be in the championship and may need him
Yeah there's no way they sell him to us if they come down.
We should get the deal done in Jan. He's wonderful.
MOTM last night for me, bossed the middle, kept us ticking, wonderful delivery and a goal threat.
Perfect midfield display.

They're skint.

Yeh, that's the £10m one I saw ages ago. I think he's a bargain at that price and more. He's one of those players that is constantly looking around and thus seems to have eyes in the back of his head. He knows where everyone is all of the time, so he's planning his next potential pass before he receives the ball and can play it really quickly when it happens. He also sees the next challenge coming (but doesn't make it obvious), so he is able to sidestep it which takes one of their players out of the game for a few seconds and gives him a little extra time and space to make the pass.
Nikola ZigicYeah there's no way they sell him to us if they come down.

Depends doesn’t it, if it’s an obligation to purchase then it’s also an obligation to sell
