£15m? More?

I think 7-10 million at the moment. Potentially double that if he keeps on growing.

His lack of pace unfortunately caps his ceiling a little in my opinion.

Obviously I love him and he’s one of the most commanding centre backs we have had in years.

10 million would get the negotiations started.

Yeh. And thats all...

Need another 15 to finish them. Plus clauses.

If he scores 3 league goals etc we want 200m

Never know 😁

I think that’s about right, that is probably his cap for what we would get from someone else but he is worth more to us than that. He is one of them players who suits the team he’s playing for, he is part of the fabric of what we are looking to achieve.

Harry Maguire is one of the slowest centre halves ever. Didn’t Man United pay about £80m for him?
What did the Knights in White satin?

Maguire is/was a great traditional centre back who is very confident on the ball.

Putting him in a high line was always going to be a disaster and Man United massively overpaid for the privilege.

Unfortunately being able to win headers, being good in a tackle and reading the game well aren’t the only criteria for a good centre back these days.

Sought after centre backs at the top level are mobile and pretty quick as well as confident on the ball with decent passing range.

Like I said in my first point - I love Klarer and he’s great for us. But his lack of pace would be a potential issue for anyone looking at a new centre back.

And a leader with real drive.

Currently football is going through a bit of a reversion, being a good header of the ball in particular is increasingly in demand. And teams at the bottom sit a lot deeper than we do.

I actually think he is worth more than most saying on here in today’s inflated prices!

I would say 20m minimum bearing in mind Brighton paid Derby 10m or so for Cashin, Joe Rosen not pace went to Spurs for 11m, and Ben Gibson went for 9m.

Klarer is much better than all of these and really good on the ball. Not all CB,s have to be rapid Botman at Newcastle,Torres at the scum, scar at Newcastle, Tarkowski at Everton just to name a few who are good players with little pace
