Couldn’t go last night and the TV coverage appeared to confirm my view that parts of the pitch are badly covered by the lights. Particularly affected is the GM/Kop area where in front of the away fans. Every time a layer picked the ball over there in the first half it was difficult to pick them up on the TV coverage.

It is adequate but not perfect but would any investment go in if needed?
Blue since 67 - Will be there at the end of the road, whenever that may be!

It's an often voiced comment, but I assume Knighthead nor the EFL see it as a problem.

Huh, I've never heard this!

It must be an expensive and complicated fix, I can see why they don't bother if we're moving in a few years.

Why bother?
It's perfectly fine when you're there in person.

They’re not brilliant, the lighting is ‘patchy’ with some very dark areas. You go to other grounds and the lighting is far superior.

As has been said, as long as it’s ’adequate’ not worth spending a lot of money on at this point
What did the Knights in White satin?

As far as last nights TV coverage is concerned I reckon the rain had a lot to do with the quality of the pictures .It didnt stop all game and it must have an effect on the effectiveness of the floodlighting as far as TV is concerned .

I'm sure we have at least the minimum requirements of average 800 lux and minimum 500 at any one point.

PART 2 - FLOODLIGHTING
1.1 The average lux value of the floodlights, obtained from 88 readings taken on the grid
system provided by The League, must meet the following minimum criteria for each
division:
Average Lux Value Min at any one point
Championship 800 500 (but a minimum lighting level of 750 lux at the centre point of each goal line)

Yeah, you see the Blues on Sky, then you see a prem side on Sky and the difference in lighting is stark. It ain't an issue though and tbf, the owners have spent an awful lot of money already on a stadium that's basically a dead duck.
Up the feckin Blues
