I don't think so.

If we don't go up we've got no chance of buying him.

If we go up we will need better than what he currently is to stay up. We can't buy him on potential when we will need an excellent number 1 on top.

Should we try and buy Beadle if we can?

I'm not so sure. I think he could have stopped the Baggies goal and the one last night. He doesn't seem to stretch enough when he's diving on the floor.

I know what I'm talking about. I used to be a keeper.

Bees?

He's still learning and could do with holding on to the ball more than he does, he's got a lot of potential so I can't see them selling him, if they wanted to though and the price wasn't ridiculous I would definitely sign him.

It's a bit of a cliche but I think big keepers are better than little keepers. There's something awkward about him and he looks about 12 but he will definitely play for England seniors one day. I don't think we'll get him unless we go up and something bad happens to Brighton.

I don’t think he was ever good enough to play for Brentford imho.

Sometimes he looks like Bambi on Ice, but that's because he's huge. That's a big advantage for keepers, who generally reach their peak levels in their late 20's and into their mid-30's.

If we promote next season, our income won't be enough to compete at the top levels, but should be about mid-table revenue. Enough to strengthen a few positions with excellent quality.

Only when the new stadium etc., is built by the early 2030's will we be able to compete for the top tier players.

FWIW, I do think we have players in the team, like Iwata, Doyle and Paik for example, who probably wouldn't look out of place in a top prem team with better players around them. They would step up and be allowed to play their game even more.

More to the point though, a keeper is obviously a lone role, so a poor game tends to be fully at your feet. In midfield your mate can dig you out of a bad pass. The minute you drift off in goal, someone can bang one in the top corner.

The best keepers save everything they 'probably' should, have an occasional worldie, and keep the clangers to a minimum.

Beadle is so young for a keeper right now. Imagine being 21 and having 32 year old brick shithouse men running at you. Hes good, but still just a kid and absolutely still learning his craft.

The baggies goal that took a massive deflection into the bottom corner?

Seemed a strange comment to me. Still we have to defer to his experience playing for the Dog and Duck

I think we are obligated to buy Doyle if promoted which I would like because he's at least a prem squd level player.

Don't think we will get Beadle though. Think he could be class as he's got a lot of time to improve but they wouldn't want to sell
