I don't think it's keyboard warrior behaviour to just point out when people are posting things, criticising certain sections of society, based on lazy assumption and not fact.

Maybe that's just me.

If full of keyboard warriors

it just shows that youngsters that live nearby are unwilling to walk to work
the odds are against us, and the situation is grim

The definition of keyboard warrior is
“a person who makes abusive or aggressive posts on the internet, typically one who conceals their true identity.”

Sharing opinions about extreme weather or football doesn’t fall into this category lol.

I’m pretty sure if this forum post was in person people would share these opinions in jest rather than shying away from sharing anything written here.

Think downtown Stourbridge has it's own micro system.

The little snow that did fall, maybe 2cm tops, more or less washed away on most main roads and pavements. Thin covering in places but mostly just slushy stuff. Compared to Brum looks like we got away with it.

Ice the main problem. Very, very icy on the roads and buses etc suspended.

I just think that's been assumed, I don't think it's been demonstrated.
Yes ball games.

The snow/wind brought down the fibre cables at the flats - Not on my block and the internet was still working.
I think they are low current, but it's not ideal to have cables trailing across the car park.

I bravely travelled to work despite everything.* This is because I am not defeated by a snowflake.
The lock was stuck as well so it took a few minutes to get in.

It's quiet though and I am not doing that much work.

*It's a 5 minute walk which took a tiny bit longer today.

2010 i walked 4 miles into work when it was bad and people couldn't walk 4 streets BUT i loved every minute of it and it was bad and it was dangerous and then people were saying people had gone soft. Main roads here are fine but without a 4x4 you can't get to the main roads. We could have walked to school but thats shut so not much point really.

I couldn't even get off the driveway this morning. My little 1 liter SEAT wasn't really built for this kind of weather.

No trains on the line into Moor Street until this evening according to national rail.

No chance I'd walk almost five miles into Brum, and my employer would not expect me to.

it was purely my choice. Got there and they shut the office after about 10 minutes. Loved every minute of it.

Woke, soft.

Back in my day all of the 200cc Morris Marinas just skipped over the 8ft of snow into the travel agents everybody worked at.

Thieve posts about school closures; geez. Taught for 33 years, retired now; just walked the dog past the slope next to Powell's pool at the Boldmere entrance of Sutton Park. Loads of kids- 40 or 50 of them - aged around seven to twelve,; sledging, building snowmen, having snowball fights and laughing - having fun during a once in a childhood day of 5 inches of snow. A day where memories are made.

But. nah, let's drag 'em in for another hour of frontal feckin' adverbials or the significance of ermine in the portraits of some or other Tudor monarchs.

Hi, is that Childline...?

I walled 3 miles to work today and enjoyed it. I'd normally cycle but I think it was too dodgy for that. Didn't see any sign of a bus but the Metro was running
