My first game, my dad (who has no interest in football) came back from the pub because someone had tickets spare and he asked me did I want to go see Man United 😬

I went the game and heard the next game was kids for a quid and started going with my mates and the rest is history.

I think we beat them 4-3 in a pre season friendly 25 July 1998? Seem to remember hearing the score when I was just about to do my wedding speech!!

👍fair play for finding that. Being ‘otherwise engaged’ on the day, never seen the goals before..

It’s always just stuck in the back of my mind due to the circumstances . I’m actually now thinking my best man might have included it in his speech

Great shout, did actually go but had no recollection of the score or game. Highlights brought it back with the construction of the railway end

Luckily Mulryne missed a much more important penalty against us for Norwich in 2002...

Just looked him up, now a Catholic priest back home in Norn Iron

Last time we played Man City they had a top 6 team.

We drew 2-2 , I remember zigic and kolarov walking off the pitch together draped in a Serbia flag.

Hart kompany silva tevez dzeko amongst others

Any wins against Man City in the PL were when they were light years away from what they are now.

Same goes for spurs TBH, I remember those times being more of a TOP 4 and the rest. Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal - Man city we creeping in towards the very end but still weren't the force they became

We also got a battling 0-0 at their place that year, remember watching it on a dodgy box in a Stirchley Pub

Two 0-0's

One in 2004, the Maik Taylor double wonder save, Man City were just mid-table fodder back then so doesn't count with respect to the 'Big 6 Question'

Then the 0-0 in 2010 when they'd spent all their money, they won the league that year, but couldn't beat us home or away.

Don’t think we’ve even scored a goal at Old Trafford since about 1980

A Frank Worthington penalty in October 1981 was our last goal at Old Trafford, and also the last time we took a point there. Since then, 10 successive league defeats without scoring.

You have to go back to the 1926/27 season for our last league double over Man U.
