£65 for something that will cost them about a fiver to make.

Looks nice though.
the odds are against us, and the situation is grim

Would love one for my 3 year old grandson. Can't understand why they don't do a kiddies one, I think they'd surely sell more than adults and there wouldn't be too much price difference. Missing a trick here I think.

Very happy with the ST exclusive purchase window. Sounds like it's a limited edition. When they're gone they're gone. Something to reward the ST holders. Well done Blues

As are all football shirts. This will sell out so it is a supply and demand thing.

I agree though looks really good.

You do understand that we've got to get revenues up to £50m+?
There's too much opinion and not enough fact.

The production cost of a typical £80 shirt is just £8, covering materials, labour, and transportation, with manufacturing usually taking place in Asia.

When a shirt is sold, the retailer, often the club itself, pockets £26.40, while the manufacturing brand receives £23.47. VAT accounts for £13.33, and the club earns a £4.80 license fee per shirt. Additionally, £2.40 per shirt is allocated for marketing purposes, and £1.60 goes towards local distribution.

Saying something looks nice but is very expensive for what it is is miserable now?

What is the youth jersey?
I presume that will fit older children with the smallest size not dwarfing the average 8 year old?

I like that. I'm not a 'replica shirt' person at all, but this does take me back to the time when Blues were just about everything to me. The penguin brings back Latchford, Francis and Hatton, but also I immediately think of things like Bobby Hope, and Alan Campbell clutching the end of his sleeves for some reason. Lovely memories.

IIRC, the white band on the original penguin was wider than this - the colours look 'proper' and I like the way that (although I could have done without the branding, I get it!!) the brands colours are integrated into the white band.

I'll get that, I think - even if it's just as a memento.

I'd like to have picked this up on the way to Oxford tomorrow.
I'd probably have bought other tat as well to make it up to around £100.
