The tall chimneys from a distance will be akin to the spikes or rays of a King’s crown …..it’s a sign …..very prophetic.
Now the doubters know we’re fekkin coming !!!

“How do you know I’m mad?” Alice said.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”

Tonight’s games

Hull should beat Watford and Ipswich should beat Pompey, which will keep them in their respective positions of 3rd and 4th on 56 and 54 points

QPR I think will only manage a draw against Charlton on Friday night, leaving them on 44 points.

Derby and Ipswich I think will draw
Blues beat Leicester
Coventry beat Oxford
Hull beat Bristol City
Preston beat Pompey
Wrexham beat Millwall
WBA draw with Stoke
Middlesbrough draw with Sheffield United

Table afterwards is

1. Coventry 61
2. Middlesbrough 59
3. Hull 59
4. Ipswich 55
5. Wrexham 50
6. Millwall 50
7. Preston 47
8. Derby 46
9. Blues 45
10. Stoke 44

Standby for the euromillions lotto balls later as well!! 😂😂

This is all nonsense Cov beat them , Hull draw with so and so , Ipswich draw thingy bob , We go unbeaten for 16 games 🤣🤣

Coventry,Hull, Ipswich & Boro will end up above us the gap has become too big .

5th & 6th are most probably beyond us .The teams above and around us have strengthened as well.

We'll have to pick up a lot of points between now and May , and have a big upturn in form and PPG .I don't think we'll make the top six ,but there's always a chance i suppose.

It’s fairly obvious we would need an upturn in ppg. The league table literally tracks that for us. It’s the thirteenth best across the season.

It is great that our away hoodoo has been lifted but if was against the likely bottom two so we can't look into that too much. Oxford harks back to league one in stature and stadium and is very much Davies' happy place in terms of getting a result.

Stoke showed that not taking your chances combined with a good away support and a high aggressive press is still a struggle for us.

Hence why we are mid table and inconsistent.

However the signings all look good, we have Dimi due back and BOS might have come back for the AFCON in better form and fitness.

Leicester & WBA have to be wins but over last 10 years have been consistently better on and off the pitch. We need to take current superiority and make inroads. If we do I might believe we are going to do Bruce 2001-2002.

Our next four league games are very winnable.
I’d expect 9 points from Leicester, Baggies and Norwich and probably a draw against Millwall.

After that it’s all to play for, 9 out of our remaining 16 games are at home and arguably only Boro and Wrexham could give us something to think about. Drawing those and winning the the others gives us 23 additional points and on 65. I think I read on here last week that that might be enough to get sixth?

I fully expect the teams outside of the top 6 but above us to fall away as the season progresses with only Derby, Wrexham and Millwall staying the course.

Maybe it’s the optimism in the air after a wonderful transfer window, but I can only see zero points from our trips to Hull and Ipswich. We pick up points at every other game.

Leicester (h) - w
Albion (h) - w
Norwich (a) - w
Millwall (a) - d
Middlesbrough (h) - d
Charlton (a) - w
QPR (h) - w
Sheffield United (h) - w
Derby (a) - d
Blackburn (h) - w
Ipswich (a) - l
Wrexham (h) - w
Hull (h) - l
Preston (h) - w
Bristol City (h) - w
Portsmouth (a) - w

33 points giving us 75 in total. Only the 20/21 season would have seen this not enough for the play offs.

It’s going to be a great end to the season whatever happens!

I love the optimism! Whilst i do think this is do-able i would be amazed if we only lose 2 more away games considering how bad we have been up until very recently. Lets hope the additional quality we have in the attacking areas and midfield keep the energy levels high fr the full 90 mins during games

Based on absolutely no logic I think we will finish 5th. Blind optimism obviously - but if we can regain our home form and win 7 from 9 and manage to get 2 wins and 3 draws from the remaining 7 away that puts us on 72.

Only downer is that a lot of the teams in and above us still have a free hit against Sheff Weds

Heart says we scrape into 6th, and go up (with our 2nd half season momentum behind us).

Head says we'll end up 8th or 9th, we'll draw a couple that we deserved to win and end the season wishing that we signed the Jan players in August... Even if we make the playoffs, I think we'd lose to some team who just sit and counter us (like Peterborough last year).

What we do in the summer then is a mystery (based on how we can bend the ££ rules to work).

I have Southampton beating us to the last spot by 1 point 68 - 67.
But i have boggles relegated.
Keep right on doubting us, and we’ll keep right on moving forward.

If you look at the next 7 days alone we could be sat 6th this time next week.

Millwall to win at Wrexham
Ipswich to win at Derby
Blues to pick up 6 points off WBA and Leicester.

No other results between now and Tuesday night from the rest of the teams could prevent us being 6th.

Those results would not be beyond the realms of possibility.

Question would then be can we stay there?

Completely unbiased prediction here [ahem], leaving us still 5 pts behind 6th place but only 4 pts behind 4th.
