Wonder whether they might think about having a penguin for the 2026/27 season, given the obvious demand

I could see them doing a version for next season, the undefeated and Nike logos would definitely end up being blue though.

I'd have thought next years design has probably already been signed off, but maybe someone who's in the industry will correct me

I think it'd be far too soon, and cheapens the kit they've just released

It will also be too late now, I think.

This would also ignore why this kit was popular. The 'limited edition' launch, the marketing, the exclusivity, and the fact that it's a very clean kit with minimal branding - which a main kit wouldn't be.

...no ADULT shirts on general sale so don't go to cub shop.

For ST holders there will be a few more available and will be contacted by the club.

Another run of shirts can be preordered but not available until after World Cup.

I agree with the vast majority of what you post, but this isn't 'fair play'. Admitting they got it wrong by allowing 4 per person (via forwarded email most likely) and not making it client reference dependent would have been 'fair play'. Then the announcement of a few more coming would be better.

They've admitted getting stuff wrong before and reversing decisions. They should have held their hands up here, rather than celebrating record sales to plenty who didn't qualify.

They've admitted getting stuff wrong before and reversing decisions. They should have held their hands up here, rather than celebrating record sales to plenty who didn't qualify.

I have a suspicion that making it CRN dependent would have been technically difficult, as it would have meant cross referencing two different systems. Without speaking to someone at the club I won't know for sure, but based on my own experiences it's never as easy as it sounds.

edit: I've had a look at the link in the ST email I got and I can see that there is UTM tracking as well as a token in the link. I figure using this they can work out which ST holders clicked links and converted to sales so they can rule out emailing them tomorrow - it's fairly simple analytics stuff.

To connect each sale to a client reference number would need to cross reference their sales platform with their CRM platform and I just don't think they've got the capability; it took them two years to sort out my own CRN so I can even log into the ticketing system.

in that case hopefully they don't cock the preorder up and it can satisfy the demand
