That’s what it sounds like but it’s limited availability and sizes

So probably small and XxxL’s

ah good point

in that case hopefully they don't cock the preorder up and it can satisfy the demand

Would make sense to take pre orders, paid up front youd think.

That way no one can complain if they dont get one

They could but I don’t think they would be able to open a pre order and get the order in within a reasonable time frame. It’s definitely a model to look at for a future release as it minimises resellers. New balance have done it quite a bit recently for some of their collabs.

But you would need to be prepared to wait a couple months before they come which could be a customer service nightmare for them because even if you tell people straight up as soon as it hits whatever time they said people will be complaining even if it’s a day late

...pre-order works extremely well, mostly use it for buying vinyl releases. No reason it shouldn't work for football clubs.

If you pre-order and know the release date its surely nothing to worry about (until your item doesn't turn up of course) 😤

I could see them doing a version for next season, the undefeated and Nike logos would definitely end up being blue though.
Be more sensible to do a penguin away shirt tbh

So if you aren't a season ticket holder, you aren't getting one until next season!

I wonder how many they've sold then? Must be a massive number.

Seems absolutely fine.

I think it'd be far too soon, and cheapens the kit they've just released

It will also be too late now, I think.

This would also ignore why this kit was popular. The 'limited edition' launch, the marketing, the exclusivity, and the fact that it's a very clean kit with minimal branding - which a main kit wouldn't be.

This, it would completely ruin the whole thing.

Works with books as well. Keep an expected date on the website for people to check and if it updates, have it generate an automatic email to go to the pre-order list.

Do you order different font sizes?

I think the issue with pre-sale is you takeaway the whole 'event' of it. The this is happening in a few days, and its less than a week from reveal to purchase.

The collaborations for New Balance are for collector nerds, not an off shoot of commercial sales to an associated fan base.

So the pre order opportunity we will be notified via email. Is this to then produce them, thus satisfying the pre-order.
Thanks

I’ve had one.

Would urge anyone who feels they’re not getting them to check spam etc

Yes, got the email. I was a bit fed up that they'd all gone although it was probably about noon by the time I looked. It was only then that I realised that there were 4 allocated for each ST holder. I'll admit that I was a bit fed up with that, whatever the rights and wrongs were, so glad to get another chance.

In a fit of pique, I was going to order a TOFFS penguin (they seem very good) but then I realised that a) it was more of a keepsake for me and b) wanted to spend the money with the club.

I would just add that I'm so impressed with what the owners are doing, will do, and have done for the club that it's such a minor annoyance. What it is for me is a (very well executed IMO) nod to the time I fell in love with Blues and that's why it stung just a little, big baby that I am.
