Absolutely have to get a keeper who we can categorically say is the number 1.

A right back who can defend and stay fit.

A centre back (preferably left footed) who isn’t a complete bomb scare.

A consistent all round midfielder with some physicality

Jury out on Priske who I like the look of and hope will be what we need.

Whether CD & CG are the men to bring these in remains another matter

It was always a bit weird we signed a keeper who isnt great with his size 14s considering how we want to play

Odd

A CF who has managed more than a single league goal against the worst ever Championship side would also help

Stansfield
Kyogo
Priske

Haven't given us the goals we need this season

Still need a CF

I found it strange bringing him in full stop. I just didn’t and don’t see what he brings that Allsop doesn’t, especially on loan.

Someone on the match thread said we actually have two number 2’s…can’t really argue with that.

Yep agree with all of these. Summer 2025 was a wasted transfer window.

I feel flattered that I’ve been quoted in a positive light.

Agreed re centre forward, Kyogo has been an abysmal signing and Stanno has gone so far off the boil you can coat him in hundreds and thousands.

The jury is still out on Priske but I think we can say The Duck has been somewhat of a success

So just another 20-30m and half a team?

Yet the same bloke to coach them?

Agree with that
Exactly the type of defender that fry is for Middlesbrough

Defensively we’ve been found out against the top teams this season

Coventry conceded 3 and 2
Boro 3 and 2
Hull 3
Millwall 3

I was of the view pre season that if Jay Stansfield is our no. 9/CF for the season we would struggle to make the play offs

He just isn't involved enough in games

Made the goal tonight but why are those kind of contributions so fleeting, he doesn't do enough

Because most of our forward players don't do enough, despite almost all of them showing signs that they can.

The coach needs to change to get the best from the players, and he's never looked like he wants to, let alone has the ability to.
the odds are against us, and the situation is grim

How many balls did Vicente get played that he could run onto tonight?

Could do with avoiding Brighton for loans in the future, Beadle was very poor for Sheff Weds last season and got dropped with a few months of the season remaining. Osman started brightly but is seemingly getting worse with each game. Cashin was a nightmare.

Absolutely this. That is clearly what he thrives on. There were a couple of times he made a run and the player on the ball played it backwards instead.
Our wingers almost always receive the ball when static on the touchline with ( if we’re lucky only one) defender stood on their toes. Only option is back to the full back or run inside into traffic. I’m sick of it

- Proper number 1

- Commanding left footed partner for Klarer

- A big frame physical midfielder who can cover ground and play. In addition to Solis.

- A number 10 we trust, to allow for a change in approach.

- A right back. Laird misses 4 months a season and BOS can't defend.

- A channel running centre half rolling striker to replace Kyogo.

- A left wing replacement for Osman when he goes back.

7 signings in the summer will do us.
