Nikola Zigic
- Proper number 1

- Commanding left footed partner for Klarer

- A big frame physical midfielder who can cover ground and play. In addition to Solis.

- A number 10 we trust, to allow for a change in approach.

- A right back. Laird misses 4 months a season and BOS can't defend.

- A channel running centre half rolling striker to replace Kyogo.

- A left wing replacement for Osman when he goes back.

7 signings in the summer will do us.

Not much then 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Until I’m blue in the face.

Our need is way more important to find a DOF that is at the necessary standard to understand the market, our needs and identity much better quality players given the wasted budgets of the last few windows.

The coach ain’t our number 1 problem.

We need another midfielder too. Iwata can't play there and Doyle is going.

Keep Iwata as the TGH of the squad.

By and large, the 'base' for next season outside of maybe Gray and Roberts/Vicente is the L1 team. Says a lot about last Summers Recruitment that so many areas they did bring players in need to be looked at again this Summer.

We had to sell our women's team to ourselves to pay for our winter "trolley dash"

Unless we can actually sell the likes of Neumann, BOS, Robinson, Cochrane, Kyogo, Iwata, Kanye, etc etc, then I'm not entirely sure where all the funds are coming from for the next biannual overhaul.

Will we be able to spend big again with the financial rules ? The owners can keep throwing money at it yes but will they happy to at the extent of the past 2 windows, surely there needs to be a long hard look at the recruitment team first

We look to have bought a jigsaw puzzle but pieces are missing or we’ve got the wrong ones from another box

Wagner, Ducksch

Even if players are doing 'ok' doesnt mean they automatically are shoe ins to mount a more successfull season next time round.

Wagner looks ok, decent. That much better than Cochrane? We will see.

Ducksch is the biggest head scratcher going. Hes a one / two moment player, if it comes off great, if not your playing with 10 men and the players around him have to work doubly hard to make up for the lack of any real presence in those areas.

If we are a team next year thats challenging at the top of the league with Wagner and Ducksch playing most weeks then fine. We will see.

I was of the view pre season that if Jay Stansfield is our no. 9/CF for the season we would struggle to make the play offs

He just isn't involved enough in games

Made the goal tonight but why are those kind of contributions so fleeting, he doesn't do enough

He’s 10th in the league for combined goals and assists (9g/6a)

He’s played predominantly as our number 10, these numbers are very good numbers.

Maybe your expectations are too high?

There has to be two school's of thought. A) we keep buying players who are poor value for money B) The manager is not getting enough out of them - whether that is tactics, motivation, fitness, general coaching.

We have shipped out so many already under Davies that Knighthood have had to take a loss on - BPF, Sampsted, Willum, Leonard, Dykes, TGH, Wright, Yokoyama, Hansson. Only May was recycled well in the fact him contributed to our promotion and we got back close to what we paid for him and Keshi who was a free anyway.

Yes we can replace our curret loanees or short term signings like Panzo none of whom look likely to stay on, I include Solis in this. But I don't think we will find it easy to shift out many of our current squad again without taking a hit. So I don't reckon we will have much to spend next year.

So when I see us going nowhere this season I consistently hope that it is the manager rather than the players because that is a far easier fix.

Accounts for June '25 should be out this month. The losses for the L1 season will be laid bare. They won't include summer '25 transfer activity but the post year end narrative may well give us an idea of spend for that period. That will help us get an understanding of what summer '26 window has in store.

I agree to a certain extent but then Davies has selected Cashin, Robinson and Panzo all ahead of Neumann when Neumann looks far more solid than all of them, we must have lost a fair few points messing about with trying to find Klarer a partner when the right answer was at the club already

I really like Davies and want him to succeed here but last night he was tactically out done and not making any subs until the 64th minute was absolutely baffling considering how bad we were in the first half

He has one more window to get it right I think
