CD got another lesson tonight. Unfortunately he either isn’t or doesn’t want to learn from them.

His body language on the touchline tonight was appalling.

Out . Cant remember last time we went behind and won. We go 1 goal down and that's it we know whats coming. Pay what ever it takes and get alex neil love how his team playsbfor him.

Why on earth would he leave Millwall?
They may well be in the Prem in 3-4 months.[/quote

I think there's better teams left in the play off. Next year then can millwall give him what he wants to improve them. He would have our current 11 challenging for top 2 no doubt. He would play to the players strengths. CD ball is to systematic.
Keep right on doubting us, and we’ll keep right on moving forward.

Davies will be gone by end of the season.

He has shown that he’s not actually willing to learn and seems to believe his own hype.

His tactics are too naive for getting out of this league and he fails to allow players to flourish individually.

He’s been backed extensively the whole time that he has been here.

I don’t know what excuse anyone can make for him at this point.

The club clearly need a proven manager at this level who has been promoted for to come in and change things.

Our football doesn’t get the most out of our attacking players and ironically most of the money we have spent has been on attacking players.

In games of any pressure we have practically always capitulated - Peterborough was the warning sign.

The away record and failure to adapt tactics to nullify quality opposition have been totally unacceptable.

Charlton will do exactly the same thing on Saturday. Same as they did at the Valley when they beat us last season. Hopefully Davies isn't too stubborn to try to play the same way

Yeah we're getting bullied at Charlton and losing to a couple of set piece goals, Dykes would be the icing on the cake
Unfortunately I can well see it playing out something like that. Press us high, stifle us, bully us, get a goal ahead, and cue the usual mental disintegration

Agreed. The club has gone as far as it can with CD. Might as well let him stay to the end of the season now and get a new manager then.
Will always look fondly on last season but this is a level to high for him at this stage of his career and what the club wants to do.

Out.

CD doesn't yet appear to have the ability to get the best out of a group of players or individuals. His only route to improving things is to ask for new players, which is not sustainable.

We need a manager with more know-how and experience, and with the ability to get the best out of a group of talented player (which we do have).

CD may well develop this ability in time - but I don't think we can afford to wait for him

Is it true we have only won 1 game from a losing position? Blackburn away 2nd game in? If so that is rather worrying, shows our lack of mentality or lack of ways to change a game (tactics)?

I find it really difficult to argue with this to be honest.

I’m not in the Davies out camp. I do think given a length amount of time he will work long term.

It’s the short term that concerns me because he reverts to type. I honestly thought he had changed, learned and grown when he started adapting tactics but when pressure is applied we seem to revert to Plan A again.

I’m concerned with the lack of adaptability, which is what I said pre-Christmas. I do still think he will come good. It’s over for this season now honestly, 8 points is too far, so now he has a free swing to try some different setups, and I hope he takes that chance.

Yeah it's true

Though it's not actually that common, there have been 49 'turnarounds' in the league this season, out of 447 games

I cant get to Davies out when I look at the side last night and for most of the season

I just don't think the spine of our team is good enough to be play off contenders, its closer now after January but the fundamentals aren't there for me in a confident GK, 2 reliable CB's 2 dynamic CM's and a goalscoring CF. Yes we have some useful wingers and a sprinkling of talent here and there at full back an bit at Cb and CM but I keep coming back to a feeling that we just dont have enough of it

There are obviously questions about Davies and what he does to get the most out of the squad he has and how pragmatic / flexible he needs to be but fundamentally when I look through our best starting XI at the key positions I'm not impressed by the players who fill those positions, I dont think they are good enough, they're not miles off but are lacking to get us where we want to be

I think he’s the right person to get us promoted (next season).

I don’t know if he can mange us long in the Prem though

If what some respected posters on here are saying is right he won't get the chance, it was play-offs minimum required.
