Painful to see Duck being signalled out for criticism. He’s been great.

I don't think most are singling him out for criticism .

They are correct though about how he plays .He is not going to lead the line in this league as an out and out target man .He is useless in the air , shirks physical contact , and can't hold the ball up .He is not a number 10 either.

My mate said to me at HT on Monday " got to get the Duck off he's fecking useless " .

He went on to say " he hasn't touched the ball it's like playing with ten men"

He was right he'd hardly been in the game , but I said we have to keep him on " he'll wander round like a nomad , and then suddenly make a killer pass or ping one in from 20 yards "

I insisted we need to find a way to get him on to the ball.

For me that is the key to getting the best out of Ducksch .He has gotten goals when we hardly play to his strengths.

As much as i love Stanfield think he'll be best playing off Priske .He was up against three CH's on Monday night , but at the start of the second half we got behind their wingbacks and he managed to find a pocket of pace and get two shots off .

That's the key for me , he is not going run off the shoulder of a defender , or take two players and lash it in the net .Really he's as slow as time ,other players will have to do his running for him.

We need him in and around the 18 yard box preferably facing goal with the ball at his feet .

The midfield two will have to be mobile , run with the ball and link up the attack and defence .The wingers and full backs have to threaten down the wings , which allows Ducksch to to find pockets of space , and make clever often delayed runs .

While Priske will need to win the ball in the air , hold the ball up , compete with the CH's and be that foil Ducksch can play off.

I know Priske is more than that as a player , but if we can get Ducksch on the ball they'll be plenty of chances for him to get on the end of things from clever passes played by Ducksch to runners or directly .

Priske will also be able to play off the shoulders of defenders if we play high up the pitch or in transition if we turn the ball over with our press.
