Would probably not have stopped any of their goals last night.

What he would have done is totally nullify their press.

Reduces tippy tappy slow build up. Laser focused diagonal pushes opposing defence and midfield back, also has a more targeted low skimmer down the middle.

His accuracy is unnerving for any defence. Even if he overshoots you've penned opponents back.

On occasions I'd even use him like a fly half 10 in Rugby direct in to the corners pen them in

If you play Allsopp too I'd play Carlos and Osman from start switch to the more technical Gray and Roberts after an hour.

I'd also play Priske with Duckshe and have Stanno on with Gray and Roberts

A goalkeeper who is good with their feet, installs confidence in their defence in being competent in playing it around AND being able to set up attacks is high risk and high rewards.

Hart was England's number one when Pep dropped him at city as he couldn't play this was.
Neuer at Bayern will often get caught out being off his line or getting a pass wrong but the team will invariably score more than their opponents.

Playing Beadle has been to the detriment of us winning games and being higher places in the league.
It is hard not to feel bitter on what might have been.

Allsop has started nearly a third of our league games to date, we weren't exactly pulling up trees with him tbf, I think we won 3 of them

Something to address in the summer

Classic case of somebody who's not in the team suddenly being better than they demonstrated earlier in the season.

Not saying I don't think he should be playing, personally I'm not arsed really, but his distribution at the start of this year was pretty shit.

I'd take Beadle out of the firing line now and bring Allsop in, because he's only ever gonna be one misplaced past from turning the crowd, and it's not helpful at all, though I don't think Allsop coming in will necessary be a panacea and he's very average with his hands, it could ease some tension.

The Leeds game bought this back into sharp focus. He was our most creative player that day

I think it’s what we’ve always known, neither are really good enough long term. Give Allsop a run of games and he’ll make errors with his general goalkeeping, give Beadle a run of games and his footwork will let him down. Bit pointless to keep swapping them because it would be a never ending circle.

Allsop is a poor shot stopper, but we've conceded six in two that no keeper would have saved anyway, so we might as well try and have him in so we can try and score eight in two

We have a far better squad now compared to the first few weeks of the season.
One that could genuinely play on the front foot.

Fair, but the wingers and the forwards last night were the exact same ones we had when he was playing at the start of the season, so I'm not totally convinced it would have solved our issues, it didn't then.

Leeds didn't press him at all. As soon as Alsopp is pressed his kicking is nowhere near as good. If he could kick as accurately under pressure he'd probably be in the team.

Beadle is good enough long term but he’s not our player. Can’t see much between Allsop and Beadle. One is getting too much stick and the other is getting too much praise but there’s only a gnats cock between em in terms of which is the better option.

Ultimately if the ball is the other end of the pitch - they cant kick it in our net. We feck about too much at the back IMO.

Which is where Allsop relieves pressure on the team.

I agree to a point, but Allsop is out player. Playing Beadle is simply benefitting another team. We are actively developing another team's player whilst sitting our own keeper out.

Ability wise yes, there might be an argument to say there's not a lot between them, but (gnat's cocks aside) Allsop is more experienced and seems to know when to stick the ball up the pitch. Beadle, in my opinion, is too inexperienced and naive at times and puts us under massive pressure with some of his passing and kicking.

But last night Davies hung him out to dry.
