Our results v the bottom half and especially the bottom third are very good. Somewhere between pal off and promotion form.

Our results v the top half at home are fine. 1.5 points per game is decent against the better sides. Good enough to be well in contentio for the play offs..

Our away results v the top 2/3 of the division are a disaster. One point every 3 games is relegation form. If we even managed 0.75 points a game we'd be in a strong position to make the play offs.

This is where we have to improve significantly. There isn't so much room for improvemnt at home or v the bottom few sides.

and one of the main reasons why we are so poor away from home against the top 2/3's of the league is cause we lack any physicality in the squad, we are easily bullied away from home and we saw that last night at home also

We also have no plan B for when we play away, Boro changed to a back 3 last night which nullified our wingers, I haven't seen us do anything like that this season successfully

I hate to say it as I like Davies but tactically we are poor and this is compounded by weak in-game management and a team that isn't capable of bullying their way to a result

To be honest last night was all about not being able to beat their press. Davies got his selection wrong should of started with Stanno and Priske who would of been able to chase the loose balls when we went long.

The midfield I'll give him his hands were a bit more tied with Paik probably not fit to do the whole 90 and then Solis being suspended who are a bit more press resistant and would of been better to be in there alongside Doyle rather than Iwata.

But this if the first time we've been well and truly outmatched at home and it came against 2nd in the league. Hopefully we learn from this

I agree about Davies getting it wrong up front. Priske should have started to allow the long ball to be a bit more useful. We couldn't beat their press on the floor as neither of the two central midfielders can take the ball under pressure, spin away or hold off that pressure to make a pass. It meant Boro could just sit on top of us. Without Paik Davies' system doesn't work - it's no wonder he's straight back in when he's fit.

I think Allsop rather than Beadle would have dealt with it better, so that was another wrong decision

I don't have a problem with that. Particularly without Solis and Paik.
The top ten have picked up 10 points at St Andrews I think with Boro and Hull winning.

That's whst we need to be getting away from home v the top 10. Add that from where we are and we'll make the play offs easily.

I have thought before under Davies we are a bit too regimented if we come up against a different style. We struggle a bit to adapt on the pitch.

Though if we had simply had someone closing down the passer on the first goal it would have been prevented. I do not know who was closest, but we were switched off for a few seconds which cost us.

I think Doyle can but for 90 mins was going to be tough for him and needed times during the match for someone else to help out. I agree with Allsop but I can't see us dropping Beadle purely for that reason. I do wish it was acceptable to rotate keepers as that could of been another out ball as you could have Gray or Osman when he comes on who could run in behind his defender

Also with the top 10 we've had some bad luck and some stupid decisions which has cost us getting more points like the handball against Ipswich, Robinson being stupid against Hull and the Ref blocking the ball against Southampton. Obviously there's some due to our our own doing like Robinson getting sent off.

Hopefully with these new signings that away points per game becomes better even if it's slightly better that would help us get into the playoffs or be more competitive next season.

I agree and disagree with Davies. From the start he's very regimented but during the game he does make changes and tweaks some good and some bad
