Wing backs worth a try eh? Gray as a 10, he's got quick feet, let's use them to unlock their centre halves. Allsopp to ping pin point long balls and get opposition defence turning. Wagner and Iowata bombing on and overlapping.

Allsopp

Neumann Clarer Panzo

Iowata Wagner

Vicente Solis Paik

Gray
Priske

Subs: Beadle, Stansfield, Ducksch, Roberts, Osman, Doyle, Osayi-Samuel, Laird, Kyogo.

Boro changed their usual formation. They let us run our arses off for 20 minutes and then pulled the pin. What is CD trying to gain with this ultra high intensity for the first 20 minutes? It looks good but it's not sustainable.

We've got nothing to lose so why not tinker with the formation?

There has to be a hundred different things I would try before Iwata as a wing back, Vicente in central midfield, Gray at 10 and dropping our best goalscorer, in order to play another centre back.

The desperation is insane. I know we haven’t been great but some of these suggestions are insanity.

We've lost two games to teams far better than us. Before that we were flying.

I'll start to worry if we're shit at Charlton. There's nothing to say we won't go back to our prior form now the games are 'easier'.

Our prior form hasn’t been great either over the season. The worry is the consistency and our ability to be really good but also absolutely woeful but these team selections I’m seeing from people definitely aren’t the solution.

Since January until Millwall we'd lost 1 in 11 or something, or unbeaten in 11, whatever it was.

That was good form. We could revert back to that.

We might not. But nobody knows yet and people need to calm down.

It might make you think that some of the posters haven't kicked a football since the playground but played Football Manager on their computer.

Iwata as a wing back?

Why when we have BOS and Laird who would surely be naturals at the role?

Mind you, he had BOS as a third centre back for the first goal last night...
the odds are against us, and the situation is grim

I don't get you lot. Why all the 'let's not risk anything, it might go wrong' attitude. Surely we have to look at different formations? Just in case god forbid we have to take hold of a game and not just go through the let's keep it the same and hope for the best. Boro weren't much cop but they out formationed us and we had no answer as per.

No one addresses this. Why, why, why was BoS so central? Not just for the goal but for an hour. Was it a pace worry?

I don’t think the issue is nobody wants to risk anything I think the problem is your barmy selections of players for the proposed risk.

Yeah, mate. These players have been honing their abilities and best position for twenty years. But why not give them a go in goal seeing as Beale got a black eye.

I absolutely love the 'I'd give X or Y a run out there, why not?' posts based on never, ever seeing player X or Y play in that position.
