Do we deliberately wait until the opposition can get into position to block our shots?

Drives me mad. How many times do we have a clear cut chances and wait, and wait, and wait. Bloody countless times tonight.

Good win, made massive hard work of it due to our inability to take chances. Season is still alive, just.

We HAVE to be better at taking chances next year if we want to be promoted.

There were a lot of crosses to nobody as well. If we had let that slip to 1-1 we would have been kicking ourselves. We need to be more clinical in the final 3rd.

We seem to want to walk the ball in the net. The lack of shots or shooting too late is really frustrating. It didn’t cost us tonight so no harm done but it has been noticeable for most of the season to be fair.

Convinced we're obsessing about getting the xg probability as high as possible to the detriment of taking a chance

We look like we don't quite know what to do sometimes. Which is weird, as we're so well coached playing out the back and round the sides.

Yet gives us a 4 on 3, or 3 on 3, and we dally trying to decide what to do.

On the other hand, Jay and Ducksch do look to be getting a bit better at linking up. Almost replicated the Boro goal a couple of times tonight

I do agree. Sometimes we cross the ball and always let them get a block, hit the first man, or shoot too late.

If we added an element of ruthlessness to our game we would be much better.

Coventry, m'brough, and Millwall etc are where they because they score when an opportunity arises whether its ugly or not. They just kick, head or fumble the ball in the net...it doesn't matter. Coventry beat us by 3 at their place largely due to our own mistakes but boy did they take those chances. We need to do the same. Just be ruthless.

Concerned about Stanno's recent terrible scoring record given his price and reputation. His scoring rate is on a par with Kyogo's.

Tonight is another example of us being poor during transition, on both sides of the ball. It’s our Achilles heel, this is what we need to Improve.

Really enjoyed that first 35 mins, more of the same Saturday and we’re in business.

Jays goal against Wrexham last year. That's what we're missing. Early ball by Sampstead to the far post and s lovely header.

I don't know, both Stanno and Ducksch often try and shoot early, both did it last night, couple of times each. I think where we fail is in not getting the ball into them enough.

I thought we had plenty of efforts last night first half. Gray maybe biggest culprit when he came on of what you mention.

6/7 wins needed from final 9 to do the impossible. Will be watching Wrexham tomorrow with a keen eye.

We over pass the ball. There were many instances last night where there was a gap to play the ball forward but instinctively we played a sideways pass or backwards pass. I understand the logic - we are trying to open gaps - but we do it so much by rote now that we often miss gaps that are already open. We were certainly too cute in the box, trying to find the perfect gap. At times it reminds me of late-stage Wenger.

We do try and pass it in the net a bit too much, but we also take too many touches in the box hence why we have a lot of shots blocked, need to be more ruthless with our chances
