First post here but felt I needed to add to this.

Im not connected to the club in any way but fell into some information yesterday. A family member knows a mortgage advisor that Ben Petty is currently using, all ive been told is hes been trying to get all the paperwork put through ASAP and recently called to tell them to speed it up once again, this was on Saturday.

I have no idea if the manager and coaching staff are being sacked and could be making 2+2 = 5 but it was interesting this conversation happened the day after the defeat on Friday. The lap around St Andrews after the loss with CD looking very upset + the quote from CD "I was proud to be their manager today" from yesterday's defeat, all sounds like an emotional goodbye.

Or could be theyre changing coaching staff. I don't know, its all speculation from my end with what I was told.

Might not mean anything at all but thought I'd share.

selling his house would imply he has something else lined up but it would be a bit daft to sell your house every time you have a new job in football, you'll be selling up every 18 months on average

Someone whose mantra is 'just keep pounding the rock' doesn't sound like someone who is 'learning' or even capable of or open to learning.

I think the implication is that he won’t be able to get a mortgage if he’s unemployed. Hence asking them To speed it up. I don’t think the post mention he’s selling or moving house, but even a remortgage is difficult without passing affordability checks.

Has he used the pounding the rock analogy much this season? I know he said it a lot in league 1, but cant recall him saying it in the championship?

If he has said it, theres not much evidence of putting it into practice. 'Feebly caress the rock and hope outside factors cause it to split' doesnt have much of a ring to it though.

Though that doesn't really tell us much, other than he specifically presumably hasn't been told by Knighthead that his job is safe. I think any coach in his position would be pretty nervous about his job prospects - even if CD stays, he might look to revamp his coaching set up after this season.

He lives round the corner from me and his house has been up for sale for weeks so I don’t doubt the truth in this. I assumed he would be upgrading as whilst it’s a nice house in a decent area, I’m sure he’s earning loads more now than he was when he bought it

Maybe they’re planning on dropping Paik and he’s worried you will burn his house down? 😉

My point is there are any number of reasons to be selling a house, losing to Blackburn probably isn't one of them lol

No but there’s 40 other games that could be the reason, and as I said the implication from the poster is he needs the mortgage adviser to hurry it up because he may not be able to pass affordability checks in a couple weeks.

Him selling the house or moving or whatever is not the point the poster was making, it’s the hurrying his mortgage adviser that is the point and I’m sure MAs are used to being hurried but for them to raise it seems like it may be extreme.

Ofcourse that’s if it’s true

If it is true, the guy is very unprofessional sharing client information like this.
Not a very trustworthy source, really.

I think some people want something to happen just for the sake of it. We'd look utterly stupid for sacking Davies now but forum posters will have nothing to talk about all week if he doesn't go. Most of them were probably the youngest sibling.

Again, that’s assuming his contract won’t be paid up, similarly to how the manager’s contract would be. I think this is one of those silly rumours people jump on whenever there’s a lot of noise about a manager.

A precursor for the summer private jet watch that we will get when linked with any player from abroad…… I can hardly contain my excitement 😂
