Sold a golf bag via Vinted a week ago, posted same day and it's been out for delivery 3 times, back in the depot 4 times. What are they playing at?

A local resident near me ordered some shoes, arrived 6 days late with the box looking as though it had been ran over, when he opened it it contained only one shoe.

We shipped a few packages from the U.S. to customers in the U.K. using a different carrier from usual as a trial, and the carrier used Evri for the last leg. Suffice to say that we no longer use that carrier after it repeatedly took Evri longer to cover the last leg than it did to cover the prior 3,000+ miles.

Anyone had the misfortune to deal with these clowns?

Ordered a pitbike tyre last week, hoping to get it Wednesday or Thursday last week before the bank holiday, was told last Thursday that they were 'running behind' and given a new delivery date of Tuesday or Wedneday this week.
No show on Tuesday & was told delivery this afternoon, so rushed home to avoid my equip being left in full public view.
No show again just the message 'running behind' with no future delivery date.

Must be one of the worst companies in the UK, utter garbage.

Oh where do I start?

Ordered an item from House of Fraser that was way too big and followed the online steps to have it picked it up by courier. Few days later I'm wondering why I've heard nothing so check the link and the Evri courier says it's been collected but rather interestingly not returned to their site. Literally weeks of back and forth ensue via email with HoF before I make a complaint and get fast-tracked. Exactly the same thing happens again and the courier says he's collected it while I'm sat in my living room. Complain again, HoF say they will investigate, have heard nothing from them since.

Don't shop at HoF anymore as a result and like to check with companies online that they don't use Evri before I order.

Appreciate it's not a huge thing and probably not worth moaning about but if I was that bad and uncaring at my job then I wouldn't have one.
Buy my novel (if you want to of course), The Loneliness That Others Call Freedom by Steven Vaughan. Available in both Kindle and paperback format.

Totally down to the last person - I won't use Evri or Amazon as they are pants and utterly opaque when it comes to raising a query, everyone else is fine. Have had Amazon leave parcels on the doorstep without ringing the bell, when the porch has been open, I've been WFH and watched them do it.
Yes ball games.

The fact they had to change their name from Hermes because of all the bad publicity tells you all you need to know.
The drivers are robbing c**ts, whenever I but something if it's evri I make sure it's delivered to my office

They're a joke, I sold stuff on eBay and evri said attempted delivery then no update again for days. I had the buyer on my case asking where it was. Evri updated tracking to say item undeliverable and it was disposed of , it was well packaged so not sure what the problem was. I was disgusted they took it upon themselves to just "dispose" of it. I had to claim compensation.

They’re a service that’s very much dependent on the person doing the last mile delivery to your door. Get a good one and they’re more than fine, sadly they seem to be few and far between.

Yeah, the local people in and around Acocks Green for Evri are more reliable than the Royal Mail parcel deliveries that come from the main depot in Tyseley. (sorry rab)

the Amazon guy is rubbish and just leaves stuff by the door even when we are at home. Caught him the other day and he could hardly (or claimed not to) speak any English.

How the feck can you get a customer facing job without speaking the lingo.

Legally, you can't.

They're paid such a pittance they probably stoop to a bit of thievery on the side to make ends meet.

They’re dangerously bad near me. Ordered something heavy last week, came down one day to see it had been placed outside the front door. The only problem was, the door opened outwards, and they’d put it right up against the front door, so we couldn’t open it. Block of flats - thank god there wasn’t an emergency…

Lots of people are underpaid, most don't resort to theft and I very much doubt the majority of Evri drivers do.

Absolutely. 99% are not chancer thieves, they just want to get the job done and get paid.
