I don't think dyche gets another prem job tbf, more likely a top end champ club who's very ambitious (like us) or a recent prem relegated side (wolves etc)

Not sure he had a similar budget, they had a wage bill of £82 Million as per the accounts
Yeah I said yesterday, ignore spend on players, wage bill is a better barometer of how a side should do.
Transfer fees aren’t a killer. Wage bills are

Precisely this

A basic tenet of accountancy and budget management - capital cost v Revenue. I'm amazed so many still don't know after what pushed us so close to the brink last time.

I reckon he'd tell em to stick it up their chuffer, he's achieved all he can there and they ultimately sacked him, I don't think he's got much time for their ownership

Not saying you’re wrong about transfers but we’ve been told Davies is involved in transfers with the final say and the type of player he wants. Both can’t be true

I think a lot of that is to present a completely united front.

The process is/was:

1. Club uses data to decide style of football required to achieve targets
2. Club finds manager whose style aligns with that
3. Club finds players that also align with that
4. Manager looks at presented targets - at this point can input into who he feels is the best fit. For instance, players he has previously worked with etc.
5. A priority list is created and matched against budget
6. Recruitment teams try and progress deals
7. If deal is workable, manager comes in to sell the project to the player

Otherwise - it's a whole new squad for every new manager, and our turnover is already too high due to changes in how we need to play.

4 and 7 are completely incorrect

No they aren’t.

KH made pretty clear that they want us to go up and stay up.

If that’s still their plan then it doesn’t make sense to go for a yoyo manager.

They’re better off sticking with Davies and letting him grow.
