A good manager may not necessarily have a certain style of play. If you have a squad that is good at certain things and you can win games by being organised then why not? That doesn't mean that you can't coach another team to play in a different style. The problem with Davies is that he has been shown one way to play from working under Brendan Rogers and he doesn't understand how to get the best out of his players in that system. We have been like an engine missing a valve and winning games despite Davies rather than because of him.

Or maybe we were losing games despite Davies rather than because of him.

It has to be that the manager is responsible whatever or not at all. Ridiculous to try to cherry pick to support your argument.

happy to have a fiver on that with you. Someone with 3 promotions from this league as a manager and 18 england caps Vs. someone who has not managed before and who even got out coached by Darren Ferguson last year.

If you had to put your house on winning promotion next year, who would you choose? Is it even a discussion?

Can we stop all this end season review, give our selves a C+ and do better next year. Lets continue the project. No thank you. The season has finished, let's not waste any time before the transfer window opens.

Two other Blue clubs to look at are Millwall and Ipswich; that should be us. What Millwall have achieved on a fraction of the budget Davies was given is embarassing. In the case of Ipswich, they were relegated last season but stuck with their manager to get them back up again because they realised that it was an almost impossible job to stay up. Burnley were in the same boat but have got rid of Parker. This is someone who has played at the highest level and shown that he can get a team that is smaller than us promoted from the championship. What's not to like?

And breathe.......
I really couldn't get this excited about Parker.

Looking at todays results not certain that Nuno will be at West Ham next season, now that is an appointment I could get excited about.

I haven't said I'd choose Davies over him. I don't like Davies and hope he goes, I'd take Parker based on his record but I just don't think he'll connect with fans, he's dislikeable.
