An old case but 110mph on the Hagley Road !!!! 😱
In my mind that is worthy of a ban from driving for life

Lucy Harrison's brother Pete mentioned in the article was a huge Blues fan. A long time ago now but we had so many laughs going to away games with him.
We do have a huge issue with the perception of speed in this country and that speed limits are "holding us back". On the way back from the airport the other day in a taxi, the driver was moaning about the new 30mph limits on the Cov Road (scene of several recent deaths). I also overheard people moaning at work about speed limits stopping them from driving fast

Pete was a very good friend of mine as a kid and into early adulthood growing up in Hodge Hill, absolutely tragic what happened to him. I'd bet the culprit is out by now as the sentence was a joke for killing someone then trying to pin it on the passenger (if i recall correctly).

I guess we probably know each other via a group of mutual friends and your screen name would tie into that.

With the amount of potholes on Hagley Road now, even 10mph will endanger your life! 😂

True. Cycled along there last week on a loop from town to Halesowen and back. The stretch from Bearwood to The Oratory is shocking

People like that will drive regardless of a ban
