Why, what does he say?

I'm paraphrasing, however it's basically an admission that last summer they got it wrong. That he's learned that there is a need to be more direct and quicker in transitions and has thought of sessions for pre-season in how to address it. Also an acknowledgement on the type of player we need i.e. more physical.

Even if we were to change manager this is what we would want to see going into next season.

What happens when teams figure us out and it takes him another 41 games to solve it.

There is room for both styles and the team needs to be coached how to do both depending on opponents and momentum of the game, which Davies seems incapable of, he also seems to be saying a lot to either keep his job or leave with a better impression of the season than a lot of people had.

I seen he mentioned the other day about look at the teams that finished below us without also mentioning the teams that’s finished above us.

I want to see us play quicker direct football when needed but for me personally I don’t want to just see the way we played for the last 4/5 games all season. It was percentage football and was pretty boring. it’s just the same we had previously with better quality players, it would feel a waste of talent.

To be fair in the article he did say the need to be able to do both and not just go fully into going long

That makes a lot more sense. I think that’s what a lot said during the season but we weren’t capable of being able to do both.

Can he fix it with a pre season and a season under his belt at this level, I’m not so sure but if he truly has learned It would make sense to have some continuity in the management.

I don’t really qexpect accurate descriptions of what he says. I don’t even think ‘he is saying a lot’ is accurate.

Still, people seem to be behaving as is if there is some kind of battle to be won on this message board about whether he should continue or not, with the not probably the most aggravated. My observation is that most people are actually somewhere in the middle, leaning one way or the other, judging by the long(est) thread the other day.

I don’t actually it will make any difference , especially now the shooting is over ( as it was for Kyogo ). Perhaps I’m wrong

Have you read the interview? Quite clearly talks about not being one dimensional.
