"Then you add in two centre-backs and a big midfielder in Solis and we’ve got four in there"

a hint that Solis is staying ?

Interesting read. Almost sounds like a public pitch to the owners as to why he thinks he should be given another season.

If he's to stay into next season, I'm glad he's acknowledging the success of a more direct style of play. We'll need to stick to it.

I wonder how the search for a set pice coach is going?
Too floaty or ended at the first man
Alive. Early starter. Enricher of lives

Exactly my thoughts.... first time hes been so vocal about the way we are going to play...maybe hes a bit twitchy at the moment

We recruited for promotion in the short term. Very few of the investments will have a resale value let alone drive profit.

I Assume that, loans aside, our recruitment will again be on players for the now rather than the future.

Going into next season with a manager still trying to discover himself in this league is a serious gamble in my opinion. I would rather we recruited for a manager and coaching team with experience of top 6 in this league.

His interviews for the last couple of weeks have been like that. Agree sounds like he is trying to convince the owners that he is the man for next season by the way he is going into so much detail about it and where he went wrong.

Time to go chris.

Yes I agree with how he’s coming across like he’s trying to convince the owners he is the man to keep here it’s like he’s applying for a job not carry on in one he’s got .

I doubt that he'd be using the media to pitch for his job to the owners. The discussions reviews, etc will surely already have taken place, and that will be done privately. I'm sure that all at the club will have pretty firm views now.

If anything, it's trying to get across to the fans that the recent, more physical, direct style will be one that we'll be using going into next season.

He is a man at the start of his managerial career. If i was him and i thought there was a threat to not being here I would most definitely use the media.

Even if the writing is on the wall it paints him as a progressive. As someone who has recognised his faults tactically and a willingness to adapt. It is a PR opportunity for his next position.

Interesting that Klarer talks of the difficulty in adjusting to the better quality allied to the expected physicality of championship players especially for Johnny Foreigner. They will have all learned a lot. Most of them will improve. The trajectory remains upward.

In fairness to him he's always done this. Even the Birmingham Mail guys have mentioned he's been honest about tactics and how to play. It's not a new thing he's only started to do
