Me and a newly divorced mate (both 45+) are out in Birmingham on a Saturday soon– where is good these days for a proper social night where people actually talk to each other?
After somewhere lively, mixed crowd, maybe a bit of a “cattle market” feel (in the nicest possible way!).
All suggestions welcome
Cheers👍

Actress and Bishop has an older crowd ... and most the places around St Paul's Square especially Jam House.. but you're not being very specific.

Sounds like you actually want to know where all the more mature women who used to go to Tower Ballroom go now

Cattle market made me smile 😁 totally non pc, but very accurate from what I remember of my younger and single days.
So you are after a 'grab a grannie' night, aren't you? 😂

avoid temple street, went the weekend and i felt old..... Albert Schloss might be ok but i never go in on a weekend but usually has a mixed crowd in the week. Gets super busy though and getting a drink is a nightmare. As others say - Jam house if JQ side of town.
