True story: I live a few miles from where Taylor Swift has one of her houses in the U.S. Back before I knew that she lived there, I was out for a motorbike ride one afternoon and wanted to pull a U-turn to ride back along a particularly beautiful stretch of oceanfront. I pulled into this lovely long driveway intending to turn around, and two very large muscular gentlemen wearing shoulder holsters immediately appeared from nowhere and flanked me. They told me in no uncertain terms to turn around and get out of there, and that's how I simultaneously discovered a) where Taylor Swift lived and b) that I can U-turn my motorbike much quicker than I thought!

Now that is a great story 😁

I plead the 5th hahaha. I truly had no idea who she was or that she lived there, my musical tastes stopped evolving right around the time that Oasis peaked, and I avoid pop culture TV like the plague.

Since you ride too, you'll appreciate just how impressive it was (and how motivated I was by wanting their holstered Glocks to stay holstered) to turn a Kawasaki Concours around in less than the width of a driveway!

Wish I had a tenth of her 'dreadful' bank account. Not my kind of music, but she's one of the biggest and most successful pop acts ever, so not sure dreadful can be applied apart from a personal opinion.

As mainstream pop music goes, she's ok. Some catchy tunes and she seems like a decent person.

Yeah, as pop music goes she's good, she's also actually written a significant number of her songs and plays an instrument, which is more than can be said for many pop legends. Good luck to her
