After all the messing around that Chuba Akpom gave us at the start of the season, just seen that his loan to Ipswich has been made permanent following their promotion which triggered a compulsory transfer and a three year deal for him.

I have read it's costing them £7.5m - for a 30 year old player that has scored 2 goals all season and no assists.

Could have been such a disastrous signing for us if things had gone differently!

Oh yeah hindsight is wonderful. Bit like the lad from Wycombe and The other one who went palace was it ? The two stand outs of the league one season.

Both not pulled any trees.

Kone?

11 in 44 for QPR this season. Not great by any stretch, but 'better' than most of our forwards...

Kone would’ve been good for us. Would’ve given us an option as a 9 before Priske arrived. Young. Resale value. Cover as a 9 or second striker

Yeah we definitely missed out there, was it wages? think someone said QPR were paying silly wages? that's why they got the other lad from Posh as well (name escapes me).

TBF, if we'd got him on that deal, I would take wasting £7.5m plus wages on him in exchange for us being promoted!

TBH i forgot his name but yeah Kone. Not a bad return then i stand corrected but the general point was the hype around both of them, in hindsight Kone might have been an option but at the time it felt like we were missing obvious targets.

Yes, he wasn't great for them in either game against us, IMO, but stayed hard working and gave them some physical presence.

Burrall has done well for them as well, from Burton.
Similarly Makama who Norwich picked up from Lincoln, who again would have given us some physical presence up front.

Definitely some lower division strikers who could have added something to our attack, though no idea what the total packages any of them went for in the end. Probably cheaper than Kyogo though.
