What is the general consesus of their fans?
Surely they want him sacked for costing them promotion?

What would we want if it was us??

The club accepts that aspects of our initial response to the situation were not treated with the level of scrutiny they required at the time.

That is quite a convoluted was to admit that they lied and were caught lying. Their initial response was deliberately false.
Once this has happened you don't get much sympathy.

The club is also concerned by the weight placed on assertions that junior staff were pressurised into involvement, when some of the most serious allegations appear not to have been supported by direct evidence.

Apart from the evidence of the junior staff involved.

This case has ultimately been decided on the basis that breach and attempted breach were enough, regardless of whether any sporting benefit was actually obtained.

This is incredibly weaselly. Though I may be being unfair to weasels.

The whole statement seems in bad faith to me. Its been put together by people who have been caught cheating and punished, but who don't want to admit their full responsibility.

I would be extremely disappointed if Blues released something like this. I would expect sackings and resignations. I do not believe that the people at the top didn't know what was going on. There was far too much disquiet among the staff for it to have been kept a secret. I read a couple of days ago that more than one person pushed back, but nothing happened.

I would imagine that there is a lot of discontent amongst the squad as well. Their achievements of this season will forever be tarnished by this. Can see a lot their squad wanting out this summer, and it isn’t exactly a place prospective new signings would currently want to go to (though money does talk…).

Can see them being a mess next season, and the way the club are acting they’ll deserve it. Feel for their fans.

I was thinking same thing. I think 2 or 3 of their players are highly sought after and would have gone anyway. The tosspot CB and Scienza for example.

I think the owner is at very least making a rod for the teams back and I hope they struggle next year.
