We also note that the club was judged against the very highest standards of integrity and good faith. That is entirely proper. What is harder to accept is that similar scrutiny does not appear to have been applied to the composition of the disciplinary panel itself, given the apparent historic and indirect connections of two panel members to Middlesbrough. While those connections do not by themselves prove bias, they plainly raise legitimate questions about consistency, perception and the standards of independence expected in proceedings of this magnitude.

A bold move.

Yeah, it really is, isn't it? A young lad in one of his first jobs too shit scared to say no to what was being asked of him and probably feeling similarly shaky while actually doing it. It's really nasty.

Don’t think it’s very wise.

I’d feel that if he was stupid enough and dishonest enough to both break the rules, and then (weasely enough) to lie not only about instructing it, doing it, receiving the results from it, but also about whether he knew it was cheating, then he and the club deserve everything that comes their way.
I would hope that he would be banned from (any) sport for a long time to both safeguard its integrity, and prevent him causing further pain to other clubs supporters.
In short a public flogging would be going easy…..😎

One of the world’s top KCs, who’s acting for Man City on their ‘problems’.

Why hasnt he been sacked yet?

So it would appear they’re backing him and will appeal any ban.

Seem quite risky. Sometimes it’s best just to take the medicine.

They are indeed. Southampton have shown no remorse over this whole debacle other than to be sorry for getting caught. If this was Blues I'd be furious with the club and embarrassed by them. I feel for the fans but but by standing by those responsible I hope the club suffers long term from this.
