That doesnt see any of the other teams in the region as rivals anymore?

With the stadium development meaning we will have the biggest stadium in the region, the academy and training ground that will be one of he best in the UK if not Europe and hopefully a philospphy of having one of the best pathways for younger players I dont see little rivalries as important anymore. We will finally be better than that.

The club platforming itself at the top table, facing the very best and finally becoming the club it can be, thats more important than poxy little rivalies.

Nah even when we're regularly scoring more than 111 points in the Prem, I'll still take an extra bit of joy when we stick 7 past them at the SQ.

Just a couple of small obstacles at the moment;

a) Building a team good enough to get promoted.
b) Building another one good enough to stay there.

The on pitch success has to run parallel to the off pitch ambition for us to be taken seriously by anyone.

The off pitch stuff is designed to fuel exactly that. There's never a guarantee of on pitch success, we could get promoted next season and be relegated again before the stadium is built or it could take us 5+ years to get to the Premier league. But the stadium etc will be the constant that gets us there eventually.

A 60K stadium will be about top 8 (Anfield, HD, OT, Etihad, Emirates WHL, LS as well)but with a number of other clubs also having more or less 50,000 capacities.
Newcastle and Sunderland already. Leeds and AVFC are expanding to around 50k. I think Forest are expanding as well.
Plus there is Chelsea who will be a big club regardless of whether they manage to get a new ground.

Some of those clubs have and will have greater commercial pull. I'm hopeful that the ground would push us into the top 10 for non-TV income and that will be enough I am not so convinced it will (immediately) blow established PL sides out of the water. It will also take time to work even if the Sports Quarter is the success people hope for.

I'd also expect that with 12 or 13 sides with big grounds that some of them will struggle to stay up - As Spurs & WHU did this season. The clubs that will be most threatened by the larger grounds are Brighton, Brentford, Fulham, Palace & Bournemouth. They'll need to be even better in relation to their income to remain competitive.

I'm looking forward to playing the dingles again. Obviously hate villa, not arsed about baggies. Coventry can eff off they're irrelevant to everyone in the midlands

Agree with the OP.

Once we get the Powerhouse built we'll be getting 60k in every week and with the SQ getting revenues at the very top end of England.

No local team will be able to keep up so likely to be the likes of Man United and Real Madrid who we will see as direct rivals.

When we get promoted next season we'll already be on the right track. KRO.
