The BBC 4 part series about Gareth Southgate, the previous manager of the England Mens national team.

I just watched the last two episodes. Hilarious cameo from 'Jack' and a session where 'Jude' is quarrelsome in the dressing room but is told by GS he will be a world great.

In the end, same rating I gave it at HT: 5.5/10

Thought it was stilted and didn’t ring true. Maybe worked better in stage as the close ups seemed to resemble caricature.

My issue with stuff like this, like The Crown is I now remember conversations that were fabricated for dramatic tension as actually have happened.

An interesting interview with James Graham the writer on Kermode and Mayo’s Take podcast about this last week.

*Dear England

Yes. See my post last week when I was shot down in flames for not referencing what 'Dear England' was about. So I thought I'd have some fun on specificity.

I watched the last episode. Southgate looked like he had developed Tourette’s (no offence to genuine sufferers) it was pure parody. I half enjoyed it because there wasn’t anything else on worth watching
