I think (this is just my opinion) that despite the negative Nellies amongst us, that people are far more engaged in this window, as they sense Blues really are on the up and we are looking upwards and not the usual downwards - as has been the case for over a decade.

This and last window I was genuinely excited to see who we would bring in, before then, I dreaded them because I was worried about what shite we'd bring in and I was supposed to be thrilled about.

NEC, Genoa, and Celta de Vigo were previously linked to Driouech as well, but so far a transfer has not materialized. The 24-year-old Moroccan speed attacker joined PSV from Excelsior in 2024 for around €3.5 million; his current market value is estimated at double that amount. Driouech, who scored twelve goals and provided ten assists in 61 matches for PSV, is under contract with the club until mid-2029.

Both clubs are very impressed by the PSV winger and want to compete with each other to make a serious attempt to pry him away from the reigning national champions. Sources from abroad inform us that both clubs intend to officially contact PSV regarding Driouech soon; at least, that is the expectation.

Coventry have agreed a £26m deal with Nordsjaelland to sign Ghana midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi.

Yirenkyi, 20, has been given permission to travel to finalise his move to newly promoted Coventry.

Yirenkyi, who had been of interest to other Premier League and European clubs, has impressed for club and country since joining Nordsjaelland from Ghanaian academy Right to Dream in 2024.

He has made over 50 appearances for the Danish side and also played 15 times for Ghana, including featuring in all four of their matches at the World Cup.

Having scored Ghana’s equaliser in a pre-tournament friendly against Wales, Yirenkyi then netted the winner in Ghana’s group opener against Panama before playing the full game in the goalless draw against England.
