I know that mate. Sorry if my post wasn’t clear.

I’m aware the actual stadium works will probably start around this date but I’m referring to the site clearance as that doesn’t need planning permission as the club have already confirmed they’ve had the go ahead from the council for this to start before planning is accepted. I have no idea how long this will take but you’d image this wouldn’t be that far away if planning is being submitted in March.

I think a lot of the “clearance” work also includes things like utility checks - pipes, electrical cables etc - and general ground testing which, on sizeable land, wouldn’t really register on drone footage alone. They are things that would go unnoticed. I read somewhere the main clearance work - I.e removal of vegetation etc, flattening earth, will start toward the end of this year.

you're right, Ken Plaster's company cleared them up, it does look like he missed a few though lol

I recall that they said they would have to go back for the larger off road type tyres as they needed to get equipment and bigger vehicles on site but the current access points were not suitable.

I wonder whats going to happen to the large pylon, I guess being right on the edge of the site it could remain in place or a huge job to dismantle and re-route the cabling.

The cabling seems to end with no sign of a substation so I guess the cabling goes underground to a substation site.

It will have to be removed, it's within the footprint of the stadium area. There is a second pylon just over the railway which will probably have to go as well as it's within land marked for development as part of the wider SQ scheme and might impact the rebuilding of Adderley Park train station.

Will be removed, they’ve said a couple of times in those presentations and Q&As, they mentioned something about burying the cables

It is a huge site. Thankfully they’ve decided to shelve the women’s stadium idea and put in a huge multi storey car park. Car parking has been the one thing missing from all these presentations so it’s good to hear they’ve added this much needed facility.
