Genuine question. Could a couple of big gobs on SHA really sour a multi million pound deal?

Surely as soon as Blues showed an interest, Vazquez's agent would have informed Getafe and anyone else that would listen.

Logically, I'd imagine most clubs worth their salt have a general idea of what other clubs are up to in the transfer market.

I don’t know - but I also don’t want to find out.

People getting a bit hyper. I think we’re doing pretty good business so far - time will tell. Seems people (well some) want everything to happen now, straight away, this instant - it’s the way things are now.

It is but it’s worth explaining so others understand why info doesn’t come out straight away.

For example, Blues were concerned that the Vazquez deal would get out prematurely because they knew Getafe were still interested. There were people on here (not me) who knew way in advance but kept their mouths shut because they knew that they had to.

I like the idea that we keep low key until it’s confirmed. There’s too much chatter. I’m encouraged however if Getafe did want him - after all, they ended 7th in La Liga and whatever Anderlecht fans think about the player, they’re a serious side. The reality is as well that - frankly - it’s a pretty cheap price for a striker. If he comes off we’ll have done. Well.

I’m okay with it being low key myself, it’s been nice being completely out of the loop this summer.

I get why people like rumours and it does generate conversation but personally I find it dull when people start believing any old shit online and then get aereated about it. Thank god this place isn’t as bad as some of the shit I’ve seen on FB.

Are neither of them the cm that was referred to a couple of times this morning then?

Jesus mate, chill your beans

If it happens, it’ll come out in its own time.

Struggling to see what’s been said that’s bad here😂 think it’s a fair comment

“IF” this is true, then maybe the rumours of Sammie Szmodics have some weight?

After all, they’re best mates (literally YouTube of them both together), both played for Peterborough, Ipswich & Republic of Ireland.

This guy kept out Kalvin Phillips & the fans love him.

As for Szmodics, what was it…33 goals in 2024 for a midfielder is crazy.

Personally would love both rumours to be true.

SHA is pretty balanced across the board I think. There’s a reasonable range of views and though people fall out overall it seems to me most get on and discussion is pretty reasonable and rational. I find it informative being a long way away because there’s obviously people who are pretty well informed so it’s good for information, good or bad. I’ve no idea about the other sm formats because I don’t follow them. Nothing I hear encourages me to.

I agree with your overall point. It's better to have less gossip. But I also believe the importance of said gossip is being massively over egged.

Anyway, I'm glad we've signed Vazquez.

I agree that it's better with no information and no leakers. It's a need-to-know basis in early discussions between club players and agents; we as fans only need to know when the ink dries on the contract, and the player is holding up the scarf or doing a photo shoot. Until that happens, we dont need people leaking info like Gif man does or did; just look at the Josh Maja rubbish and the leaking to Fabrizio.

Brian dick pretty much shut that one down straight away when it came out plus don't think there's been anything legit on taylor.
