Beadle is stronger than Alsopp

Klarer, Neumann and Cochrane should all be stronger this season having had a full season in the Championship

Solis has shown hes a better fit in midfield than Iwata.

Vicente is better than Anderson

Priske is better than Kyogo (obviously)

Jury is still out on Vazquez and Lund, but their experience suggests they should be better than anyone on the bench in the above list

Beadle is better than Allsop.
Some could argue Fry is better than Neumann.
We hope Lund is an improvement on Cochrane.
Solis is an improvement on Iwata.
Vicente/Roberts are miles better than Anderson.
Priske is better than Kyogo.

Maybe 6 positions better. Plus a stronger bench (hopefully)

If we weren't to sign or sell a single new player between now and Sheffield United (Swansea in the cup may as well be pre season as far as I'm concerned)

Beadle
Laird Neumann Klarer Lund
Paik Solis
Vicente Stansfield Gray
Priske

Subs
Allsop BOS Fry Cochrane Iwata Roberts Mazwi Fujimoto Vazquez

-----

Desperate for quality behind Priske, aside from Vicente and Roberts. Desperate for a CM to challenge Paik and Solis, Iwata is emergency backup in that position. He'll be RB cover once BOS goes.

Overall, stronger than last season but not significantly enough to get where we need to be

4-5 through replacement. Beadle, Lund, Solis and Vicente, plus Fry potentially.

But we also have a team with a season of experience at this level (and for some in this country) they didn't have then.

On the face of it we are better equipped now in Defence and Attack compared to this time last year. Traditionally the margins in this league are slight so you would expect incremental improvements in playing strength to have a big influence on points gained, so maybe a higher finishing position. The only fly in the ointment is that the teams relegated from the prem will be far stronger than the teams that got promoted. Unless one of them does a Leicester, and I can see Wolves could, it will be those teams and Southampton in the mix to go up.

Deffo light, though I’d be surprised if we have one in and in the lineup within 4 days, very little chance of that I’d fink

Dont think we need them before saturday but we certainly need one for Sheff game.

Iwata & solis will be fine for the cup game.

But we really do need to get a move on with signing a CM.

Yeah was gonna say the same.

I mean, I can’t imagine Lund or Vazquez being any more than bench players for a week or three as they get up to speed too.

We need reinforcements in the middle, especially if Paik is out for some time. A midfielder comfortable on the will be crucial with Doyle gone and Paik injured, maybe 2.

Remains to be seen whether we go for a “10” (Davies has never really done this) or a hybrid type forward/10, which we only really have Stanno to do (I more mean that Priske and Vasquez definitely won’t).

Yeah, starting team at the weekend is gonna look like it did at the back end of last season presumably, with Cochrane in for Wagner. Vasquez to come off the bench.

I think Vasquez may struggle to break into the team if Prisske and Stanno have good seasons.

Will need to be called upon at some point though, gives us that extra bit of grit and fight I’d imagine. Perfect for away games….

We're still 3-5 players short IMO. We need a CM, Number 10, Left winger as it stands. If BOS goes we need a RB. If Duck goes we need a replacement for him as well.
