As long as he's fit I could see Vasquez featuring in every game this season, if nothing else he'd be a very useful 20+ minute impact player, but I'm sure he will start games too, you could go with him + Priske in certain circumstances, they're both mobile, and injuries/suspensions loss of form are inevitable

Definitely, it's a squad game. But if Priske gets off to a flyer and Stanno is back on form, I think he'll be on the bench more often then not.

I mean, I can’t imagine Lund or Vazquez being any more than bench players for a week or three as they get up to speed too.

I think Vasquez may struggle to break into the team if Prisske and Stanno have good seasons.

Injuries happen. We need another forward/number 10/Attacking midfielder to rotate/fight for a place with Stanno.

He will defintiely get a good proportion of minutes as you say.

As i have said before though, Davies needs us to come out flying at the start of the season for his own sake, I can imagine he is all in on getting a midfielder in asap.

Yeah of course with all the moving parts with transfers.

If we dont have a CM signed up within the next week I think we are really kicking ourselves, one injury to iwata or solis and who comes in?

I obviously have no idea on paiks injury and is gray injured?

I'm hoping we can get Gelhardt and Osman in, or Otele if we can't get Osman. We definitely need a CM as well, maybe 2 depending on Paik's injury. I think we also need to replace any departing players. If BOS and/or Duck go, we need to replace then as well IMO. It could he busier than expected, depending on departures.

Desperate for quality behind Priske, aside from Vicente and Roberts. Desperate for a CM to challenge Paik and Solis, Iwata is emergency backup in that position. He'll be RB cover once BOS goes.

Overall, stronger than last season but not significantly enough to get where we need to be

Dunno about that.

Not only are we stronger in 5 or 6 positions, we also have more depth. We have an extra year of learning (or ½ in the case of our Jan signings) and we also now have a top end attacking set piece coach.

IMO that is hopefully enough to close the gap from 10th to a play off place.

And that's before the inevitable further business with 2 or 3 more coming in.

We're still 3-5 players short IMO. We need a CM, Number 10, Left winger as it stands. If BOS goes we need a RB. If Duck goes we need a replacement for him as well.

Gelhardt is the Ducksch replacement/10. same thing

I’d say we’re slightly stronger, not sure how much difference that would make in terms of league position though. I’m expecting a similar season to last.

We do need a couple more in.
