Skipps one season at Norwich was better than Choudhurys whole career in all honesty. Add that to the fact he played over 100 games for Spurs, is 3 years younger and doesn’t have any drink driving offences. I think it’s an easy choice.

I jus think hes a slightly better iwata if that tbh, I think we do need a different profile in there.

Good player, seems a bit of a cock off the pitch

Very underrated.
He’s 28 now. He’s not been playing at the level you’d want or you remember for about 5 years now I reckon

I still like him. Did a good job at Sheffield United maybe 2 years ago. Upgrade on Iwata.
Possibly mate. I can’t not remember how bad he was v Albion when Mason got sacked though last season. Genuinely pitiful stuff.
He was left back in fairness
Alive. Early starter. Enricher of lives

How dare you!!

Iwata is our sweet Japanese prince.

I apologise. I love Tomoki and having met him he’s the nicest man ever.

He was great with my son when we met him, his lad was having a right laugh with Junior Zigic too despite not a word of English being spoken.

I may be in the minority but I wouldn’t mind the Choudhury signing. Calm on the ball, loads of experience at a good level, covers two positions.

He’s not going to be a creative force, and we obviously need to address the creativity issue in this window.

Having said that, I also think we could do with a holding midfielder who doesn’t immediately panic when pressed, and keeps the ball ticking over. Choudhury does fit that mould.

He does seem like the nicest bloke you could ever meet.

But is he nicer than Rab?

I’ve never heard of Tomoki giving up his seat for anyone, I have Rab, so the answer is an unequivocal no.

Provided his attitude is okay, he would be a good signing purely in ability terms. But not what we need, IMO. An Iwata upgrade doesn't strike me as a priority at all right now.

Ahhh well we will have to see if he comes in, get behind the club and him. Very uninspiring signing- always wary of signing players off the back of a completely losing mentality season - especially given everytime i watched them he seemed to be one of the worst on the pitch.

But we need an upgrade on Paik don't we? I assume Solis is going to because we've spent £5m on him and he can do box to box. So do we want a defensive mid next to him or one who can be a bit more progressive?

I know its a squad game but if Paik doesn't start, where's any creativity coming from in there?

I think Paik definitely has a role to play when we’re sitting back a bit more, but we definitely need a creative midfielder. I think ideally for more and what I would classify as promotion contending teams he would be the first rotation/ and or there to mix up play with 3 in centre midfield.

Does he pass forward?

That's key for this season this isn't it. We can't have no bottle merchants in the middle of the park this season go sidewards and backwards for 90 minutes.

To be fair we’re debating a speculative rumour that most probably isn’t happening.
