With CD in charge and current transfer dealings somewhere between 12-15. Think CD will be gone before christmas so then it depends upon who takes over to have any chance of the play offs.
West Ham and Wolves to get automatic and Middlesbrough or Southampton to get third. Dark horses, Swansea, Stoke, Bristol City and Millwall.

I make you right on almost everything for me though Stoke always find a way to underachieve and you can’t really call Millwall a dark horse

11th. This is the toughest the Championship has been in years. Our away form could be a massive hindrance.

If we sort out our away form though - I think top 8 is certainly within reach.

Lots of strong teams this year. For the first time in years, all 3 of the relegated teams are in a good position.

Sheffield United and Norwich shot themselves in the foot with poor starts last year. Norwich finished the season as one of the most inform teams in the league.

Boro, Southampton, Millwall, Wrexham, Bristol City, Stoke (with their big spend). It’s gonna be a good league to watch this year that’s for sure.

Just after kickoff at Swansea Blues will try to string two passes together to get a rythm and get into a game, but some geezer in the stands will be annoyed with this modern 'tippy-tappy'-style of football and call for CDs head.

9th we will finish and I do think Davies won’t be manager this time next year.
Unless he’s miraculously found a plan b to change a game !
It’s really competitive this season and I think a lot of clubs are on a level playing field regarding squad quality and depth.

Blackburn will get relegated pretty confident on that outcome so I’m having a few quid on that !

Signing 3 or 4 quality players (LW, AM, CM) we could be pushing the top 4.

I do think the end of this transfer window will define our season and CD's fate

I think we get 7th/8th but lose in the first playoff game away.

Positives:

Priske gets over 10 goals and with his overall play looks ace.

Vazquez won't score many but we will bloody love him.

Beadle overall has a really good season and we're (mostly) all happy with him.

Negatives:

Ethan Laird will be out for big chunks of the season and we get rid next summer.

We're still talking about Jay every week because he's not looking 100% comfortable in any role.

Dael Fry will miss a lot of the season and we're all questioning why we signed him, knowing it was going to happen.

Quite surprised how negative many of the predictions are . Could be argued it’s good to have tempered expectations after this time last year, but I think it’s more indicative people are just pessimistic and will express that quite readily.

I think we’re a stronger team than this time last year by a fair bit but will need to add to be competitive near the top. It depends if CD can get results/performances out of the players, if he can’t I really don’t think languishing below halfway will be tolerated and we’ll have a new manager who hopefully can. I think the team should be play off contenders. The league is stronger (though last year the squads of the 3 relegated teams were all rated highly on here) overall but so are we.

IF we get some of the targets we're supposedly trying to get (Gelhardt, Osman and Jack Taylor kind of level) I think we will look really strong and will be up there in the playoffs for most of the season and finish in there.

It's also possible to have a good season whilst a few of our players have poor seasons, which is what I think will happen.

I think it depends on our business between now and the end of the window.

If our business stopped now - which it won’t - I think 10-12.

If we bring in 3/4 targets and don’t lose any of the first team players I think 6-8 is more likely

On paper, knowing how last season turned out and how physically weak we were, and in my view how we have addressed some of that. People aren’t hesitant at all to say other teams/squads are stronger and they haven’t kicked a ball in anger either. I agree with you that more needs to happen too.
