Fair comment. I think with Priske, there is definitely more to come though and Stanno will come out of the other side of this drought he's on (Feck, he's desperate for a goal and so are we).
Whether that'll be enough, only time will tell.
Addressing it in January will be tough, I would think if it looks like they need to, we'll have to shop in Europe or even further afield again.
We've got the money, but a forward in January is never easy and way over priced domestically.

Like others have said, I think goals will be an issue as can’t see our front 3 being that prolific. Think the board’s Willy-waving to sign Stanno for 8 figures, could have been better spent on an out and out goalscorer. I’m sure we could have got one for that money

Now Stanno has moved back inside he's looked loads more effective. Feels like he's snatching at his chance a tiny bit - but that's bound to happen after a barren run. Just needs one to go in off his arse & I feel like he's going to go on a bit of a run. Priske will also bang in a few this year. Play-offs here we come.

A fit/reliable Max Bird, the mystical number 10 and/or the explosive pace wildcard option of Fuesini and that's a squad ready to challenge.

I just don't see us creating enough, the style of play with this personnel won't equal enough goals.

It's a shame because we're almost there, just a shame the club have killed some of the positive PR over the last few weeks with daft statements that are now biting them.

Time to get behind them until January but I think it'll be a bit of a grind. Just got to try and stay in touch.

Edit - As much as I thought Robinson was a dickhead, we're setting ourselves up for a completely unnecessary problem there now due to Fry's fitness issues. Weird one.

I think we have enough threat, Roberts/Vicente on either wing can create and score and same for Gray. I don't know anything about Millar other than he scored against Cov last week but I know I can rely on Gray to create and or score. Stansfield will eventually return to form and Priske is good enough.

When we have a fully fit squad playing, I think Vasquez will be brought on to chase and hurry defenders when Stansfield/Priske needs a rest. Ducksh will be brought on if absolutely needed I guess. I've seen enough so far which shows me we will be able to create, we just need to be more clinical.

I agree and disagree regarding Robinson. I agree that he's a d*ckhead but i'd be happy with putting Buchanan as a left sided CB who can also play LB.

I'm thinking Robinson going was A... he's a dickhead who isn't going to get a game anytime soon and B.... the 25 man squad thing. It's that time, places have to be assigned.
I don't know what the plans are for Buchanan, but if it came down to a straight choice between him and Robinson, it's Lee every time.
They are both players who can fill in at CB and LB, Lee is younger and better.
Of course if they loan Buchanan out, all the above = null and void.

And yet we created 3/4 goalscoring chances yesterday against a parachute team widely tipped to be fighting for automatic promotion even with the points deduction.
I'm disappointed we didn't add more, but I don't think it needs to send us to a place where we are overly negative about the team we do have.

I thought that last night - plus it seemed like Iwata and particularly Solis were pushing on more, I thought? Lots to like last night. :)

We played it long and direct and pushed forward to try and win the second ball up high and nip at there heels as they were the ones that wanted to keep the ball on the floor.
They won most of the second balls too tbh.

That’s your view, Mine is that unless you can sign a really good number 10 it ain’t worth it.

I’m not sure Davies system calls for what we consider a traditional number 10 it’s more of a pressing striker/support striker role, however I do believe we’ve gone more data led as opposed to CD having more input which I think he did in the first 3 windows so it would made have made sense to add a traditional 10, though if you’re playing fast football and want killer quick passes, that appears to be what Duksch has traditionally done throughout his career

In terms of adding for now there is a number 10 called Ryotaro Ito who is a free agent who put up
Good numbers in Belgium last year and looks to fit the bill. Probably been mentioned before but missed it.

Good to see our midfield trying to pass forwards most of the time last night (and inevitably, that means risking losing the ball more) so much better than endlessly recycling along the back line.
Much better watch.

We played well last night, but the lack of scoring means is was two points dropped, plain and simple.
