I don’t think that thread show that at all. I’ve just read through it and I can’t see anyone saying they like it. Maybe I missed something. Some of the hostility to Davies on there and the over reaction (by some but quite a lot) is pretty horrible to read to be honest. For me anyway. People get so angry, way beyond frustration.

You said Vicente could play left and indeed he did well enough. Actually, the first half against Wrexham was excellent and Gray played there and Vicente on the other side where he normally plays. We have options.

I think Davies must have thought he needed a more defensive midfield by playing Paik forward(ish). Some of the comments there are Paik and Iwata will always be picked, the best option is Solis and Paik (maybe but the last two performances have been pretty good with that midfield). I think most of us would agree we look a much better team with Stansfield inside, Priske isn’t isolated any more and Stansfield isn’t relatively wasted, in fact looks somewhat rejuvenated. It’s taken too long to get to this point but I abhor the tone of a lot of those comments. Some by people who say appear when we go a goal down (undeservedly) against Saints.

In relation to to your last paragraph, I actually think when we went down against Southampton most were quite positive, I would be considered a moaner and many others like me actually
Thought we could get back into it which we did. I think if you go through the match thread, there was some criticism of the finishing which is Somewhat warranted but for the most part it seemed to me upbeat about how we was playing

You were, I wasn’t thinking of but if you read it back others weren’t, and coincidentally they’re the ones most vociferous on that thread you link. I don’t think there was any cause for negativity than regretting the great chances we missed and not getting ahead. Which most did acknowledge. If it had stayed 0-1🤷🏻‍♂️

I may be wrong but my recollection is that most people thought we should be seeing Roberts more. He was underutilised. Personally I think wingers can and should switch more. CD I think responded to criticism by simultaneously battening down the hatches a bit but also going longer because we ‘need faster transition’. We do need to adapt our style but again I think most of us can see although we need to be solid we need more patten and structure in our play and what you said (with others) is a big part of that.

Comments like "ineffectual, he was poor, nothing to suggest he gets in over Vicente, not the messiah, unhappy and disinterested, etc, etc
