First of all let me start this by saying we have so much to be thankful of the KH ownership for. They have revitalized a dying club and invested some serious money.

However is this the first summer where there are some legitimate red flags that we should be feeling slightly uncomfortable about - even TWs illness aside?

This may well (rightly) be put down as reactionary nonsense - but are there some genuine red flags we should be concerned about?

I think it's fair to say there's a few red flags compared to what we've seen from KH previously, yes.

That said, compared to what we've experienced prior to KH, we're still in dreamland.

Give over ffs

Their priority has got to be a new director of football. But they need to get the right person and not panic into the wrong appointment.

As fans I think we shouldn't panic either and let's see how the next few months go.

The loss of our academy director - What did you want us to do to keep him? He wanted family time, they loved the club and waxed lyrical about it and Jeremy Dale. Just wanted time together

The kit delay - It wasn't delayed


A very underwhelming transfer window - Solis, Beadle, Fry, Bird, Millar, Vazquez, Lund isn't underwhelming.

The deafening silence from the ownership - it's not deafening at all, our Chairman has had a stroke and is healing up.

Red flags for vilers on here ......absolutely

In 2026, we've signed Priske, Vicente, Solis all for good money, and all three represent players with real potential.

We've brought in Fry, Bird, and Vazquez who are all improvements to the squad down the middle and Fry and Bird add real championship experience.

Beadle, BOS, and Neumann have all stepped up big time this year.

And Millar is a good player, even if he isn't Osman.

I think we all wanted one more. We definitely tried given we were after Osman and Gelhardt. But it didn't work out.

It isn't the perfect window but we're absolutely on the up, and the squad is a country mile better than where we were 12 months ago when the window closed

- No evidence the sponsor change has lost us money. Was personally never convinced the Undftd deal worked brilliantly both ways - you can still buy 24/25 kits on their website, obvs didn't sell very well abroad?
- DoF appointment will take a long time, bigger clubs than Blues have struggled there.
- Academy director wants to spend more time with his wife.
- Kit delay was weird. Don't get that but it's not that serious.
- Window was underwhelming, agreed. Feels like we spent too much last year and we're having to pay for that, a bit of a Craigy G hangover.
- Wagner had a stroke. The CEO of the club speaks regularly and is pretty visible and accessible. I don't know why a statement from Knighthead would make a difference.

I think it's ok to say that the window was poor and the kit was delayed weirdly, but I don't think they're red flags. Red flags are more serious than that.

I think the worst thing they've done is give someone like Gardner the job he had, given the importance of it. But mistakes happen.

This window is a massive red flag for me, but its issues at pkay we already suspected were impacting around the DOF and recruitment, ultimately theyve failed to deliver what their manager needed to mount a credible promotion push by strengthening the starting XI

They're expecting him to do more with less, thats far from ideal

What does ‘red flag’ actually mean to you? It’s just a cliche, meaningless phrase. What are you trying to say?

Rubbish post. the wheels are in motion. The days when you can just throw money at a team have gone.

Plans are well underway for a stadium that will give us and the wider Midlands a true international venue..

You are either it Blues or a hard man to please.

The club is in the best place it’s ever been sadly this message board probably the worst.

1) Companies want out of commercial agreements all the time. Suspect Undefeated were sold the vision of a double promotion which did not materialize. It's what it is.

2) We had targets lined up for this window already. If a DoF came in midway through the window, would that really have made things better?

I'd argue that waiting to get the right man after the window and bedding him ready for January would be a better strategy.

3) That's been cleared up by his missus. Nothing the club could do about that.

4) Confusing, but if Undefeated wanted out at an awkward time, what could they do? I'd argue Coral is a really, really good sponsor for this division. Of course it's not sexy like Undefeated, but it's not BoyleSports or Bet365 or any of that cack. It's an historic bookmaker known by the everyman, and its logo is by no means terrible.

5) Has it been underwhelming?

We resigned Beadle, who has been stellar so far.
We've taken a playoff rival's captain in Dael Fry as backup.
We signed Lund, who looks very promising.
Solis on a permanent is a coup.
Unfortunate injury for Bird but he looks very decent and like something we desperately need.
Vasquez has attributes we lacked and IMO has potential.
Millar, again, very exciting. Attributes we desperately lacked.

Okay, we didn't get Osman nor Geldhart. Both are playing for Premier League teams. We aimed high and they didn't come off.

Very promising signs against Sheff Utd, Wrexham, Southampton. All very strong opponents. We're counterattacking more fluidly and generally getting the ball up the pitch a lot quicker. On another night, we'd have won 3 or 4 nil tonight.

Let's just take a deep breath, shall we?
