I've seen a few talk about how exciting it was last night. It was hardly Blues Leeds under Clotet. If Ward-Prowse scores the free kick late on I dont think many would be having that same opinion.

For me it comes down to what you do with the ball. The measure is chances created and goals scored. As you said we were wasteful and gave a soft goal away when we should have made sure we went in to the break level.
Maybe the acid test is how often you were excited enough to be out of your seat. Did the game leave you excited or were you ultimately frustrated?

As has been the case often under Davies substitutes drop our tempo and threat. We don’t have in modern terms “finishers” and even those who are attacking tend to come on to solidify.

I can see that being a problem over the course of the season and how many points we win rather than lose last 10-15 minutes.

I thought we were excellent, we were aggressive; intense; got the ball down and played a lot more, good balance between on the deck and set pieces. We are a bit open at times with the man to man press thing and it worries me for Sunday, but we were much more like it

Rubbish. The atmosphere was great last night, and that's what a change in style brings about. Yes, you'll get flat moments in a game, but I'd rather sit through that than be bored shitless for a whole season regardless of how many wins and points we racked up in the third division.
