You’ll get used to him mate. I’m sure he’s nice in real life even if he does come across as an appalling human on here.

Does anyone really believe that we have a season ticket waiting list in excess of 14,000 ?

Over 3,000 empty seats last night.....huge sections of the Gill Merrick empty last night......which always looks terrible when empty.....

Are the club saying that we have sold out of our season tickets for this season ?

My thoughts exactly - are we being gaslit?

Just because i only recently joined doesn't give you the right to call me a saddo lurking viler......

I think KH have done a magnificent job in making our great club competitive again.....i have been a ST holder since 1976 and can remember the Wheldon, Kumar, Carson ownership's.....not too mention the horrific appointments of Dave Mackay, John Bond, Steve Cotterill, Lee Clark, Karanka etc.....(far too many to mention....)

No, i don't believe KH are conning us at all, i am concerned that TW may not be coming back (i sincerely hope that he does as he "gets" us as a club and fell in love with the city and the supporters)........they have put their money where their mouths are.....it's a pity we haven't done the same and ensure that we sell out for every home game.....that's why i posted the original topic.

Yes - the new ground will be a beacon of light for not only Blues fans, but for the city as a whole. We will at last be able to hold international sporting events, concerts....something that Birmingham should have been doing years ago.......IMO a move over to the NEC should have happened decades ago.....but at least we now have something to look forward to with the new ground and SQ......

Is that a positive enough posting for you .......?

You say now : "No, i don't believe KH are conning us at all"

not too many minutes ago you were basically calling them liars

"Does anyone really believe that we have a season ticket waiting list in excess of 14,000 ?"

So whilst i don't think you're a Villa fan ... i do think you are being fairly inconsistent there - because you are actually questioning whether they are conning us or not.

Think it might be called an opinion. Some others might agree to an extent and dont like the road somethings are going i.e. 3 strikes and out for attending matches.

25k for a midweek game is pretty good IMO. Plus its on the telly, plus the kids are going back to school this week, plus weve got a home game on Sunday.

Also, the club are pushing STH to put their tickets on exchange or forward them to friends. I know of 2 or 3 STH that couldnt go last night that forwarded to friends instead because they know they cant just not turn up now. Last season those ST seats would have been empty and those friends would have purchased a ticket in one of the empty seats you mention.

A teeny bit of apathy is probably a factor too, but its really nothing to worry about.

Good response......i don't think they are conning us us about the new stadium , SQ etc.......i just question the validity of the 14,000 on the waiting list........maybe i am totally wrong and there is that many......i hope there is as when the new ground is built we will need minimum 40,000 every week or it will look and feel 1/3 empty....

Not my intention at all to stir up any ill feeling between anyone....

Apologies if that is how it came across.....we all want the best for our club.......KRO

I’m on the waiting list and haven’t been offered a season ticket yet. Got a 5 month old at home so going to midweek games isn’t a top priority for me.

As people say life takes over and I pick and choose when I want to go. If I had a season ticket I’d go to all the games as I’ve paid my money so there’s more incentive. If I don’t get offered a season ticket as I haven’t been to enough games that’s fine. I’ll wait until the sports quarter and force my then 5 year old to go with me.

I'm on the waiting list because, as it happens, after going home and away regularly since 1972 (and having a season ticket most those years) i got ill three years ago, and can't go to matches (or concerts or festivals or any really crowded events) at the moment because i'm still not fully recovered.

If they offered me a season ticket, or even free match tickets tomorrow i couldn't go.

Hopefully next season i'll be well enough to go again ........ but i'll have to wait in line with all the other 14,000 to see my first match under Knighthead's ownership

Same (minus the 5 month old). I retire in 2 years, maybe less and the first thing I'll be doing is getting on the waiting list and regularly attending again. Shift work and home stuff have knackered me these last couple of seasons.

put yourself on the list now ... you don't have to accept a ST or even go until you feel ready to

Wouldn't feel right tbh - if I'm lucky I'll get to 3 games this season.

I think it is a genuine question from the poster. I've been on here for over two years, and season ticket holder for 30+ years, so hope I qualify to answer.

Again it is the communication from the club. When you announce what they did around ST attending games and then 2,500 seat are empty at what was an A grade game, I think people have the right to question, the clubs comments.

Many around me last night where commenting on the empty seats and in hospitality, so it is not isolated.

Do we have 14,000 on the waiting list? Maybe. So where are these people, when tickets are available?

Why not question the ST holders at the next game why they weren't there last night ?

Perhaps if the people on the waiting list had been offered the seats at the knockdown costs that ST holders get them then they may have gone .. ie around £16 to £20 a game

When i was a season ticket holder i detested the entitlement that many other ST holders had towards non-ST holders ... seems like little has changed

No issue with the question - I'm a bit wary of posters who just appear out of nowhere and start slagging the club, there's been a few recently - looks I was wrong about this one and probably over suspicious. He registered on the 26th of August, so it seemed - 'off'.
