Anyone know the reasoning behind Klarer deciding to shoot at the tilton first half instead of the second? Is it instructed by higher up?

Do we know it was him who decided?

I always presume it is the opponents choosing to do this upset the norm and to stop us shooting towards the Tilton towards the end of the game.
Late winners are so often in front of the best standing section in the country.

We had a run of iffy games attacking the Tilton second half last year, where in the second half we struggled and it all got a bit toxic, Sheff Utd home being one, and culminating in that awful 0-1 Blackburn game

Changing seemed to spark a change in fortunes (wins against QPR, Preston, Bristol City) so I think they've just stuck with it where we can. Don't think we've lost a game doing it and won the vast majority.

Nah we've been doing it quite a lot recently. I think it started towards the end of last season.

Definitely seems to be a Blues decision. No idea why though.

Because the moaning and groaning scares Beadle and the back 4 and they don’t need it from the start 😉

I don't care if superstition or the data or anything says we should kick towards the tilton first half.

Blues should kick towards the Tilton in the second half. We always have and we always should.

This. I can't imagine Liverpool ever want to do anything other than kick towards the Kop second half. Just seems like we're trying to be clever for clevers' sake.

2 home league games so far 1 attacking Tilton vs Bristol City and 1 attacking GML second half Southampton

I sit in the GML & finally saw my first goal of the season scored by Blues at that end last night

The other 3 have all been scored at the Tilton end (including Brentford), although probably seen the goal of the season scored by Bristol City from the GML end though.

Have to agree about the negativity in the Tilton, since switching to GML last season, found it to be a much more pleasant enviroment to sit and watch the game in, whatever the result

Matt Delaney said that Southampton has turned us around and that they had their huddle in front of their own fans as gamesmanship, but I don't believe him, it probably was Klarer's choice.
For what it's worth I prefer to watch us kick towards the Tilton in the second half.
It's easier to beg for forgiveness, than ask for permission.

I agree, just think that's the reason, we got into a bit of a rut with moany second halves that didn't go well

Pretty sure it was Klarer's choice. I saw his gesture to the referee to switch and he then instructed the team.

Thought this was a news article for a second, I thought blimey they did well to keep that quiet on Sky.

I am sure I read somewhere the reasoning was because stats backed up something about being in winning positions at half time so we try to start fast.

I could be wrong and completely trying to rationalise why it is that we do it.

Blues? No chance.
