May I suggest that when threads are merged the new single thread is sorted in chronological order so thst (significantly)older posts don't appear after newer ones?
On the Southampton thread near the bottom of page 3 the posts suddenly go back to last Tuesday. I thought a couple of people were spouting even more nonsense than usual until I saw the dates.
I'm sure each post has it's own ID so it must be possible to sort a thread from oldest to newest.
I've no idea how easy it is and it is not a big thing, but where there area lot of posts on threads it would make it easier to follow the flow. Maybe it's something to consider for a future update.
