The county game lives to fight another day - fingers crossed we get a pleasant spring and autumn this year - and it hoses it down for much of July/August 🤣
I think it's important to point out that Knighthead have won the bid to enter negotiations to buy 49% of Birmingham Phoenix....not that they now own 49% of it.
It's an important difference.
Yorkshire have just sold all of their stake along with the ECB's.
Sunrisers will own 100% of Northern Superchargers which could be interesting
Yeah, saw that.
Yorkshire desperately need the money I guess.
I think the rest of the counties will end up doing that as well sooner rather than later. Otherwise when it gets taken out of their hands - as it will eventually - they may not get as good a return.
not sure how much of Southern Brave Sussex own, but assuming the ECB's stake goes to the Capitals who already own Hampshire, that could be 2 of the 8 entirely owned by IPL franchises
let the power struggle commence
The rest of the counties are not up shit creek the way Lancs and Yorks were/are. They'll be happy to play along for the next five to ten years while all this nonsense blows over

This just in from Skipton
Well I don't understand it. Why would anyone pay anything for that never mind £100million? I take it all back about the ECB. They have created a brand new game, pretended its cricket, and within 3? years sold it for £1billion ish. Unbelievable. Their next project should be to sell sand in the Sahara desert. There has to be more to it than what I see but my advice for what's its worth is take the money and run. Pay the debt off and don't ever spend 1 penny more than is earned again. This debt can never be repeated.
