Baz says no batting changes likely. Hmmm. At least they’re backing their men I suppose. So much pressure on pope now though.

I think they should all feel the pressure. eff knows what's happened to Duckett,he hasn't been the same since the Hundred,he was out of nick in that as well. The pressure will always be there when we lose 3 or 4 wickets cheaply.

As expected really. I'm glad they haven't gone for Bashir.

I don't think it'll make much difference though.
There's too much opinion and not enough fact.

I’m so glad they gamble to blood Bashir has been so successful

Can’t for it. See if approach has changed at all . There were times, albeit not many, and not for long, when Australia looked vulnerable in the previous two.

Agreed, this is not a particularly good Aussie side imo.

We've muffed our chances.

Those straws won't clutch themselves 😂

I expect a better performance but we'll still go 3-0 down. The spinner experiment is just another poor decision.

I'm trying to look for positives, this is what I can muster:

- Adelaide is the most bazball friendly of the Aussie grounds I think. Can get flat, and is short at either side so the big hooks and pulls can go for 6. Long straight though so pitch it up!

- Stokes is at his best when it's backs to the walls cricket. And this is most certainly that.

- We have a long tail with Jacks?

- No Bashir

I will notionally be honourable and offer to do the late baby-feed, and then scar my child indelibly , leading his first words to be 'Pope is a useless fanny' at some distant point in the future.

I think (as Zlammer alluded to), the 11.30 starts are the worst.

Other than the Boxing day test, when it's great late on Christmas night.
