Very sad news.
He was at the other end when Brian Lara made his 501 - they made an unbroken partnership of 322 and Keith himself made a career best 116 not out. An excellent gloveman as well.

Sad to hear this
A couple of everlasting memories of Pipes from the 90's glory days
- 116* obviously as has been mentioned above
- Giving Shane Warne some tap at the end of the World XI game in '95. Warne was chucking pies to make the game close but you still have to hit them!
- I remember him fielding in the outfield in a Sunday League game once (must have been a fielding sub) - it was quite the adventure
Overall though, I remember a gifted keeper with very fast hands who never quite made the most of his potential. He was also always happy to engage with supporters, something that has been somewhat lost over the last 20 years or so

Played against him when he was playing for M&B pre Warwickshire. Unbelievable keeper especially standing up and some good chirp as well. Technically the best keeper around in the mid-late 90’s. Sad news.
No one could keep like he did to Donald in 1995.
And of course in 1994, he’d had the privilege of batting with Lara during the 501.
A team man, lively character and a very good sparring partner of Dermot’s for getting in the opposition’s faces. Played in something like seven one day finals.

The best glove man I ever saw.
First met Pipes on a Bears post season tour to St Lucia in 1990. This was just before their purple patch but I remember a great set of lads including Dermot, Ostler and Simon Green. The weather was so bad all the games were called off so just on the p1ss for 2 weeks.
He always took the p1ss out of Tim Munton for being the best man at Hugh Bear and Carmen Bears 🐻 wedding on the pitch at Edgbaston.
A great lad who will be sorely missed.

Seems like we might have played against each other. we had him and Penney before they went to the bears. we had some team those years
